  • "Lovely dreamy cottage."

Have stayed a few times now. Every convenience catered for and very comfortable indeed. A short walk to a stunning beach which now seems dog friendly year round. So many lovely places to visit on the doorstep. Charles Town along the coastal path. Pretty Mevagissy a few miles down the road by car. A little favourite of ours is a bit further a field Chapel Porth Cove near St Agnes, lovely beech with caves and the famous iced hedgehog ice cream-not to be missed….thanks for another dreamy stay.

Lovely quiet position but if you sat out the front there was plenty of opportunity to chat with the neighbours. Beautiful cove. I would have preferred a harder mattress, as I get occasional back problems, but apart from that it was an ideal stay.

  • "Great location, close to the main roads but incredibly quiet, and with parking space just outside."

The cottage was lovely and homely, with everything provided. The bed is very comfortable, the views great and the proximity to the nearest beach fantastic (for a less steep climb we recommend taking the path down past Jasmine Cottage and Primrose Cottage, cutting across the field and joining the coastal path). Thank you for the welcome cream tea, milk and wine, much appreciated. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return in the future!

So near to the beach, for either that winter or summer walk. Its a perfect location for exploring anf also close to amenities. As usual for eating out you are spoil to choice. Cottage was lovely warm over our visit which was Xmas. Could not thank the host enough for all the thoughtful gift uner the tree for both us and the two foir leg friends. The advantage was the close and private parking space which can be so difficult in the small rural villages. A very big thank you.

  • "Lovely little cottage tucked away in the Cornish countryside with amazing views over the bay."

There were three of us and our dog and it was fine, the cottage is very traditional and the door frames are very low so you need to duck a lot. For the price we paid we were very happy it was clean tidy but we felt that it was ok to relax with the dog.

Our only comment is that it'd be good to have some kind of privacy curtain in the kitchen as it backs on the a public footpath. Apart from that it was an excellent location to stay.

Lovely cream tea, milk in fridge and bottle of wine on arrival made for a great welcome. Comfy sofa, armchair and beds, with snuggle throws too, plenty of storage and hot shower with fluffy towels. Lots of cutlery and crockery, plus decent knife block. Decent WiFi. Note: stairs to bathroom/loo, no freezer (ice box in fridge only), we didn’t mind, but worth knowing.

Small but very well equipped kitchen. Good sized living room with dining area. Bathroom spotlessly clean with generous walk I shower and bath. Super view from both bedrooms, I was in the second room with comfy single bed. We enjoyed sitting outside on the front seat in the morning sunshine. Good location for Eden Project and the Lost Gardens, which were both well worth visiting. The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout. The small clean beach is a short walk down a very steep hill, but you could take the car to the paying car park at the bottom .

Everything we could possibly need, very well equipped & comfortable. Wonderful sea views & dawn chorus - great view of sunrise too! Major Supermarkets & petrol stations close by. Walking distance to the beach - which is gentler if you walk through the field (sometimes has sheep/lambs/cows in it) & along coast path rather than the steep road. Nice walk along to Duporth beach - we had it all to ourselves! Still finding new places to explore - this cottage is a great base - and a guaranteed parking space is invaluable. Thank you!

  • "We had a great stay at Driftwood."

Great location. Comfy beds. The sofas were excellent. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely and warm. Nicely appointed bathroom. I would thoroughly recommend and would happily stay there again. Just a few minor caveats. If you're of limited mobility you will struggle with the stairs into the bathroom. The WiFi is very basic and if you've got multiple people using it you could struggle. The TV is quite old school and not SMART so we couldn't stream from our phones. I'm well over six feet and the doorways were quite low but I soon got used to ducking! But these are just very minor issues and we had a great stay overall.

It’s a fabulous comfortable little bolt hole for exploring, had everything we needed and fabulous sea views. I just love the position in the little dreamy hamlet and a 5 min walk down the lane to the wonderful little beach of Porthpean, this beach is just magical, it has a little cafe or you can take a picnic, there are rock pools and lots of sand at low tide. It’s also on the coastal path to Charlestown and beyond. Can’t wait for another visit.

We would certainly visit again and stay in the same cottage as there are so many beaches and pretty fishing villages like Mevagissey, Charlestown and Fowey....pronounced Foy apparently....to explore in the area all the way down to the Lands End peninsular.
