  • "Perfect location for beach."

Nice to have shops within walking distance too ( just across the road). House has all the equipment we needed in the kitchen. Comfortable house which was a great base for us to visit family.

Access to the Coastal Path is direct from the house. We had an awesome short stay. Wish we could have stayed longer...

  • "Good location, we were a little worried having a pub/hotel so close but needn’t have."

Every night by 9/9:30 it was very quiet, even the family fun day which was very busy was all packed up and quiet outdoors by ten. Good little park close for dog business, beach about 5-10 min walk also great for dogs pre 10am and post 6pm. Facilities all good and working well in the house, nice functional kitchen and easy off road parking. A small issue was one bath towel per person provided for a two week stay - would have been better saying not provided, so you knew to bring your own as we ended up purchasing some. There’s a washing machine but didn’t want to use daily for towels. Otherwise all good, nice comfy beds, decent showers and nice living room area. Good facilities close with a couple pubs, cafes and a shop.

We will take on board your comment regarding the towels. Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed our home and village :) Property Owner

Perfect setting for the beautiful beach. House was clean and tidy when we arrived. We enjoyed having the bakery across the road (gorgeous fresh bread and cakes). The whole family had a great time, thank you

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
