The property

Bryar is a thoughtfully crafted shepherd’s hut, quietly set within the grounds of the owner’s home at Widemouth Bay, offering couples a restorative holiday escape surrounded by open countryside.

With more than eight acres of fields to roam and a wonderful sense of space all around, this secluded retreat feels perfectly placed for switching off while still being well positioned for exploring the Cornish coast.

Inside, the hut has been designed with care, making clever use of space without ever feeling cramped.

The studio-style layout brings together a comfortable King-size bed, a neatly arranged kitchen area with gas hob, fridge with ice box, kettle and toaster, and a dining spot for two that suits everything from lazy breakfasts to relaxed evening meals.

The bathroom is a real highlight, noticeably more spacious than expected, and fitted with a high-quality power shower that adds a touch of everyday indulgence after time spent outdoors.

Stepping outside is where Bryar truly comes into its own.

A private feature bath invites long soaks under open skies, while additional seating areas provide lovely spots for reading, chatting, or simply watching the light change across the fields.

There is a warm personal touch with welcome treats such as fresh farm eggs and freshly bought-in bread as well as milk, granola, butter, jam, setting the tone for a stay that feels genuinely cared for rather than simply hosted.

The surrounding land encourages slow exploration, whether that’s a morning wander through the fields or an evening stroll as the sun dips low.

The nearby River Neet provides a beautiful wildlife haven, with herons and otters occasionally spotted, and the adjoining wildflower meadow with its fire pit makes a perfect place for summer nights and stargazing.

Widemouth Bay is known for its wide sandy beach, dramatic coastal scenery and excellent walking routes.

Note: This property can be booked with refs 1194151 and 1194153 together sleeping up to nine people.
