With an inviting open-plan living space and a warming wood-burning stove, this property provides a relaxing retreat within easy reach of the surrounding countryside and coastline.

Parking beside the stone brick exterior of Mill Pond Cottage, you step out into the gentle quiet of the countryside, where the natural stillness and the sense of open space immediately ease you into holiday mode.

Each stay begins with a complimentary breakfast hamper, featuring fresh bread and milk, granola, butter, jam, and eggs laid by the hens on-site.

Push open the door and move across the tiled flooring of the open-plan living space, where bright wooden counter-tops and white fixtures create a clean and stylish kitchen area.

As you set down your bags, you might already imagine whipping up a simple breakfast with the farm-fresh eggs provided, letting the morning unfold at a leisurely pace while the light pours in.

Prepare a drink, glide over to the dining table, and ease into your break as the room settles comfortably around you.

Continue into the sitting area where two inviting sofas encourage you to stretch out beneath the mounted TV, perfect for unwinding with a film or catching up on a favourite series.

The wood-burning stove, tucked neatly into its nook, crackles, offering the ideal place to warm your hands after a walk through the grounds or an afternoon exploring the coast.

Climb the stairs to reach the snug on the landing, where a plush sofa and wooden flooring make space for quiet moments.

Settle beneath the Velux window with a book from the small selection provided, or switch on the TV and enjoy a little time to yourself while the afternoon light softens overhead.

A few steps further lead you to the bright bathroom, its Velux window framing the sky as you sink into the bath or enjoy the refreshing ease of the walk-in shower.

This room offers a peaceful pause between busy days and restful nights.

Continue into the King-size bedroom, where the mounted TV encourages slow morning starts and the feature wooden wall adds depth and warmth to the space.

Sink into freshly made sheets, let the daylight filter through the Velux window and allow the stillness to settle.

The family room, finished in uplifting turquoise hues, offers another airy space to unpack and unwind, its Velux window capturing natural light that brightens the start and end of each day.

Stepping back outside, you can stroll through the cottage’s eight acres of shared grounds, letting children roam freely or taking a peaceful wander beneath the open sky before planning the day ahead.

When you choose to explore further, the welcoming village of Marhamchurch sits within easy reach, offering a gentle pace of life and a place to pause.

Travel a little further to Bude, where sandy beaches, independent shops and coastal paths encourage you to linger, watch surfers from the shoreline or enjoy a relaxed lunch on the waterfront.

Venture toward Tintagel for a journey steeped in legend, where the castle’s dramatic ruins sit high above the sea and the footbridge reveals sweeping views shaped by centuries of tide and wind.

For a different kind of charm, head to Boscastle, where the harbour’s rugged beauty invites you to wander along the valley, explore quaint spots and breathe in the salt‑tinged air.

With inviting interiors, thoughtful touches and the landscape of north Cornwall unfolding in every direction, Mill Pond Cottage becomes a bright and memorable base for days spent exploring, relaxing and reconnecting.
