  • "Catch the wave is a lovely hone, with stunning views, in a fantastic location."

  • "Great property with stunning views."

Parking is also very good by Cornwall standards. Very spacious and kitchen, although a galley, is very well equipped. The property looks over Porth beach which is a stunning way to experience the tides.

  • "Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped property."

Loved it during our stay. Very thoughtful to have towels, tea towels, dishwasher and washing machine tablets provided. Improvised with airer as a stairgate as our 10 month old grandchild is at that age where stairs seem fun. Used own dog stake for outside as no fences to keep it within our boundary. The view kept us occupied for hours. Definitely would use again. One small niggle Parking arrangements for a second car would be appreciated. We took two vehicles and was contacted (left mobile number on windscreen) by Blue Chip Hotel as we parked extra vehicle just outside numbered spaces. We paid £10 a day to park in a bit of ground just off driveway in. I did try to confirm the validation of this but no reply from Sykes. Message service & reply is a bit sporadic. Thank you for letting us experience this beautiful property and location. We will be back

Thank you so much for feedback from your stay at "Cath the Wave". Delighted you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately parking on Newquay and in private residences is limited. If we had had been forwarned of the need for a second car parking space we could have resolved the problem. Thanks again Property Owner

  • "Catch The Wave is generously equipped and very confortable."

It felt like being in someone’s home and not just a bare minimum rental. The bedrooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and with 3 shower/bath rooms it felt very private. It is very well situated with amazing views and nearby access to two beaches. I would highly recommend the cottage.

  • "Beautiful property!"

The views are just fabulous. While the rest of Cornwall was very crowded, Porth beach is peaceful. It can reached by some rocky steps nearby, or by a more established path which is about 15 minutes walk. Great for swimming too. The Mermaid pub at the end of the beach is friendly, the food is basic pub fare but ok. The house is comfortable, clean and furnished to a high standard. The owner was quick to help when we had a minor issue. Very highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your comments. The property has indeed fab far reaching sea views from the property over Porth Island towards Trevose Head 12 miles away. Sunsets are stunning as well. Thanks again and hope to see you again. soon Property Owner

  • "The property is so well placed overlooking Porth Bay with uninterupted views."

The accomodation was splendid and better equipped than most holiday homes we have visited. Maybe the steps down to Catch the Wave is not so suitable foe elderly visitors but otherwise first class.

Only downside was having shower curtains instead of a screen, nothing worse than trying to shower with the shower curtain sticking to you

  • "We've had a great holiday with 3 children and 1 dog."

It was warm, beautifully clean and felt like a hone from home. Perfect equipment for basic holiday cooking. Views were spectacular and we had great fun spotting the seal that visited the bay every morning. A perfect base for accessing the SW coast path and some wonderful rockpool, rock hopping and wave splashing with the family. Thank you

Thanks so much for your review. So pleased to hear you had a great time. Lucky you to see the seals. Great spot. Property Owner
