“This was our first stay in Starfish Cottage & found it excellent in many ways.”

We booked through Sykes Cottages. It was spotlessly & sparklingly clean almost to the point of feeling clinical, but that is good in these Covid governed days. It was very well equipped, parking space outside, and set in beautifully landscaped grounds which are very well maintained. The only slight downsides were that we were expecting to find a dishwasher but not washing machine as that was what was advertised. On arrival we found the reverse - washing machine but no dishwasher. ...

Generally the cottage was very cosy & warm but the downstairs cloakroom was freezing cold - we could not get the radiator to work & there were no instructions in the cottage due to Covid regulations. We did as recommended and logged in to the website but that was of no use at all & we found nothing there to help us. On the leisure side, it is in a lovely part of Cornwall, but not good for walking from the cottage as access is down a long narrow lane which is not ideal as we had to use the car to go out & reach our favourite walking venues. All in all though we had a great holiday and found it overall a very good cottage.

Thank you for your comments. The owners and housekeepers go to great lengths in making sure that guests have a lovely holiday especially during these difficult times. The property has never been advertised as having a dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer in the cottage, we have updated the details on the website. The radiator in the downstairs cloakroom has been checked and is working fine, there is an isolator switch for the radiator which someone must have turned off prior to your stay. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Starfish Cottage and we hope to see you again in Cornwall in the not-too-distant future. - Sykes owner relations

The property

Located within the beautiful “Village of Gardens” Pendra Loweth holiday village, this two bedroom holiday home is just a short drive from iconic Falmouth.

With a plunge pool, gym, tennis courts and children's play area, this resort offers families a great value option from which to explore Falmouth, Truro and beyond.

On the ground floor is an open plan living room and kitchen with dining space as well as a handy cloakroom.

French windows lead to a terrace space adjacent to the very well kept shared gardens.

Upstairs you will find a superking (zip and link singles on req uest) bedroom, a double room and a family bathroom.

Pendra Loweth offers an extensive area of manicured gardens interrupted by a pleasant stream.

Guests are welcome to use the shared space and children will love exploring the gardens and using the play equipment.

Around 15-20 mins walk from the resort along a footpath, you will find yourself at one of Falmouth's best beaches: Maenporth.

Offering a beach cafe, kayak and paddle board hire and a wonderful restaurant overlooking the sand and sea, Maenporth is a firm favourite with families in Falmouth.

You are also within easy reach of the aptly named Swanpool Beach.

Falmouth has earned a reputation of a good year round destination with plenty of attractions and excellent food and drink at one of the many eateries.

Whether you want to paddle the coast and venture to the pretty Roseland peninsula or you drive in to the Helford region of Cornwall with its subtropical gardens and magical creeks, there is certainly no shortage of things to do here.

Starfish Cottage is a great cottage for a family looking for a unforgettable holiday in the Falmouth area.
