Skiber And Karadow Barn Conversions

This pair of semi-detached barn conversions are situated on the outskirts of St Just in Roseland, near to St Mawes, on the south coast of Cornwall. The cottages offer lovely period features, including locally-quarried stone exteriors and ample outside space, with enclosed gardens. The newly-renovated interiors provide a contemporary, yet comfortable space, with high-quality furnishings and a light decor, giving the rooms a warm and homely feel throughout. Both barns have spacious sitting rooms, with relaxing modern sofas to curl up on of an evening in front of the TV. Well-equipped kitchens include an integrated dishwasher, fridge/freezer, wine-cooler, oven and microwave with enough space to cook up a delicious home-cooked meal for the whole family. A USB/power tower provides charging points for phones and tablets. The dining areas offer space for you to enjoy a hearty breakfast while planning the day's events. Each barn provides a choice of bedrooms, with flexible sleeping arrangements, modern furnishings and delightful views across the countryside. Contemporary bathrooms offer luxury family bath and shower facilities. Relax on the decked outside space or take a dip in the relaxing hot tubs and soak up the peace and tranquility of the Cornish countryside. Beyond the immediate outside space, a large, shared lawn allows children (and adults) to run off steam. The Roseland offers some of Cornwall’s prettiest, family-friendly beaches: Pendower, Carne, Porthcurnick and Towan beaches are all within a 20-minute drive of the cottages. If you fancy a spot of history, why not venture towards St Mawes Castle, a 10-minute drive away? This 16th-century fortress boasts scenic coastal views and an outdoor theatre during the summer. Or you could take the King Harry Ferry across to the National Trust House and Gardens at Trelissick; or take a drive to St Anthony’s Head, a lighthouse, harbour and haven for keen birdwatchers where you can spot peregrine falcons flying overhead. If you want to leave the car behind, take a short walk from the cottages across the creek to the beautiful church of St Just, labelled by Betjemen as the prettiest church in all England; or to the stunning Messack Point, with views across the Fal estuary. A truly exceptional retreat for families or a group of friends looking to explore all this wonderful area has to offer.
