    The house could do with a bit of TLC better WiFi.

    Thanks for the feedback and there is now really good wifi ! sorry it wasn't there for you but I have installed starlink and it's really good. It is the only way of getting very good wifi here in my part of Cornwall. Other providers just couldn't provide it through wires here. Property Owner

    Great location for walks and exploring the coastline this Autumn. Having the heating on these last few days was great so it was warm to come home to.

    Great to hear you enjoyed your stay but future guests please please don't have the heating on if not in the property. There is a timer on the gas boiler which can be off/on/overridden/changed to suit your needs. Many Thanks in advance Matt. Property Owner

  • "The property is cosy and warm with lots of hanging space for wet weather gear in the porch."

    Heating works well so ideal for a winter break. Well maintained with plenty of cooking facilities. Hob is old fashioned, so takes a while to heat up. Good size rooms with plenty of seating space in the living room. Garden is enclosed so perfect for letting your dog out. Also nice size for children to play out in the summer with outdoor seating for alfresco dinning. Excellent location to walk into Tintagel and onto the Coastal path. Would recommend this property.

  • "Comfortable property with everything you need."

    Private and secure garden which was great for our dog. Close to the town amenities (less than 5 minute walk) but in a lovely peaceful road. Everything was good and would definitely recommend.

    Slept great and the enclosed garden was a great bonus for the dog. Great communication with owner who was very friendly and quick to reply. Would deffinatly recommend as a base if your exploring north Cornwall. Nice walks around and lovley get away.

  • "What a lovely, warm cottage."

    Everything we needed for our stay and more. Great value for money and very well located for everywhere we wanted to go to visit.Although very close to the centre of Tintagel (extremely convenient), the cottage itself is very quiet and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfy too!! Would highly recommend

  • "Gull cottage was all we expected, a couple of niggles were sorted, wheelchair access was overcome with some trial and error occasions but that was our problem and nothing to due with the cottage."

    The beds were comfortable and warm as was the large lounge sofas. Matt, the owner, contacted us on route as we were stuck in traffic thus late arriving, to see if we were ok. Would love to return. Thank you.

  • "This cottage was superbly placed, with very good facilities, furnishings and thoughtful provision of essential items like soaps, dishwasher tablets, loo roll, etc."

    The room layout was really good, there was nothing that we wanted and didn't have provided. The good sized and very pleasant garden was an added bonus. We would not hesitate to book it in the future if we stay in Tintagel again. Highly recommended.

  • "On arrival we found the cottage welcoming and homely."

    We were impressed by the cleanliness and found the cottage was well equipped. We were most impressed by the size of the rooms as they were bigger than the impression we got from the photographs. The beds were clean and comfortable and the garden was a good size with plenty of seating to take advantage of the sun or shade as you choose. We have two small Chihuahuas and they could squeeze under the gate but a 'normal' size dog would be fine. Matt, the owner, lives on site and was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit I would highly recommend this accommodation and will certainly book again on my nest visit to Tintagel.

  • "A quiet location at the end of a cul de sac, but very close to Tintagel's village centre and the important pasty shop and coffee shop."

    Also within a couple of minutes you are on the coastal path and able to enjoy the special views of Tintagel Castle. We walked over the coastal path to Trebarwith Strand, but a short drive to the beach means you can spend the day rock pooling, body boarding and sunbathing.The cottage has a lovely little suntrap of a private garden and plenty of off street parking. The owner was on hand to answer any queries and very welcoming. Although the cottage doesn't have any grand views, the convenience of its location, and cleanliness and practicality of the accommodation (all on one level) makes it a definite winner.

Entering the property, you will be welcomed into a spacious porch which is ideal for those looking to hang their coats, kick off their muddy boots or store their bikes.

Relax and unwind in the welcoming sitting room which has two large sofas to cosy up with your loved ones and benefit from the wall-mounted TV with blu ray player for your evening entertainment.

Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner which has all the necessary appliances for cooking up some delicious meals, whilst also benefitting from a dishwasher and washing machine as some added extras.

Choose from a double, twin and bunk room to get some much needed rest for the day's ahead, and enjoy the matching bedside tables and lamps in the master bedroom for some late night reading.

Outside has a private and enclosed lawned garden and patio area where you can dine alfresco during the summer months, or light up the barbecue for a summer time treat.

Nestled in the bustling village of Tintagel, you are well-placed for accessing a number of delightful eateries including restaurants and several pubs and the Camelot castle hotel.

If you're a keen history lover, then you will not be disappointed with visiting Tintagel Castle, which rests on a clifftop and boasts rugged views of the coast.

This castle was said to have been the birthplace of the legendary King Arthur and has a wealth of history to discover inside, whilst also discovering the hidden gem below, Merlin's Cave.

Further afield is the popular St Nectan's Glen, a woodland spot which has a scenic waterfall and plenty of trails for those looking to explore the nearby region.

Head South along the path and travel one of the most stunning walks of the whole coastal path taking you through 8 valleys to arrive at Port Gaverne or a short hop next door to Port Isaac - please note this walk requires walking boots and is very strenuous and will take 4-5 hours.

Moreover, if you happen to be bringing a dog, Trebarwith Strand Beach (Dog friendly) is situated within a couple of miles, with a wonderful establishment by the name of Port WIlliam (Dog friendly pub) overlooking the beach.

Gull Cottage is a wonderful retreat for those seeking to explore the Pentire Point coastal region.

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
