  • "Location of the property instantly gives a unique holiday experience."

The views from the front and small balcony at the side of the building are fabulous regardless of the weather.Basic no trimmings, clean and practical space made it ideal for family and dogs holiday.Locals we friendly and helpful Meva is a great port town and the Hide out really makes you feel part of it.Just a couple of points.Driving in roads are narrow and turns very tight! You enter east quay via what looks like a cobblestone pedestrianised road ,It’s not.the people seem unaware of this to.You will love this place.

  • "Property had a lot of cobwebs and we found someone's dirty pants in the wardrobe of main bedroom, which I put in the bin as I didn't want them near my clothes!"

. But these issues would never stop us staying there again. We had the best time ever. so cosy and warm, comfy bed and pillows. fantastic location. We cant wait to re-book for later in the year :)

So sorry you had these issues , I will send you comment onto the cleaning company , this should not happen I’m glad you would still like to stay again and this never put you off , we look forward to you staying again Regards Mark and Della Property Owner

  • "We loved the view but we both thought the place needed updating."

Really disappointed with the badly stained sofa as when we walked in thats the first thing we saw. Looked lovely on the photos. Also the tv remote wouldn't work and we put new batteries in but had to use the buttons on the tv. The place needs freshing up and a new sofa.

Thank you for your feedback, we have the sofa professional cleaned but unfortunately this property is very popular and dog friendly it’s not always possible to make sure it’s stain free, we will look into replacing with a leather sofa in the future, we also have replaced the tv remote as it was the on/off , we button that wasn’t working , we have also replaced all the flooring . Thanks Property Owner

  • "We loved the location."

The apartment was very well set out. However, we were disappointed in the overall quality of the apartment. We paid £1800 for a weeks stay. The apartment was very tired. The kitchen sink was blocked. The tiles in the bathroom mouldy. Light bulbs not working. The flooring was lifting throughout. Gaps where the beading was missing. There was dust and dirt under the bed. The drawer in the fridge cracked . I do know this is a pet friendly apartment and there would be Mark's on the furniture. However the grubbiness of the arms on the settee was not caused by any pet. In these days of the virus I would have hoped for a higher level of cleanliness. The toilet Bush was practically a stick. I didn't mind booking and paying the price. I understand its peak season but the quality was not reflected in the accommodation. I have photographs to back up everything I have said. I am in Cornwall at least 3 times a year. I have not ever felt the need to complain before.

  • "There is a parking space but only for a small car."

The location of the flat is exceptional and it is very comfortable with everything you need. The view from the sitting room window is unique and there is a small table and 2 chairs on a private balcony off the main bedroom with sea views to the south and the port to the north. We will go again

  • "This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we just love it."

The addition of the little balcony is perfect and is such a wonderful sun trap. The only negative I have is the main bed, the positioning of it felt like we were sleeping on a very slight head-first tilt so we used a spare duvet to tuck under the mattress to alleviate this which helped but as the mattress was quite soft I kept waking up with back ache. Also there was no mattress protector under the sheet and the sheet kept pinging of the corners of the mattress in the night which was a little frustrating. The duvets were also very thick and very heavy given the time of year. However, none of the above would stop me visiting again as this place is a little gem - I’d just take my own bedding.

  • "The position of the property is fantastic."

Brilliant views. Park space is a bonus as many properties didn’t appear to have one. We felt the cleanliness was not up to par, especially when one has to vacate by 9am for the more rigorous clean. For example the dust layer in the main bedroom round and behind cabinets was there when we first arrived. Attention to detail around cleanliness is needed. Plus chipped cups and bowls needed replacing. Hanging baskets when windy were very noisy. Would I go back? Yes but I would want a deeper clean.

  • "Really struggle to fault, property is that good."

Only niggle could point out is parking space only big enough for a family hatchback, anything larger would not fit & overhang the space.

  • "Was worried it might be a bit chilly this time of year but it was comfortably warm."

The only minus was the mattress which we found a bit soft for us as we normally sleep on quite a firm mattress. We did make sure we emptied our bin on Thursday for collection Friday, but the wheelie bin was not emptied by the refuse collectors.
