  • "A fabulous location, gorgeous house and the hosts went above and beyond there duties, the place is very dog friendly."

  • "Great cottage in a perfect location."

Great to follow the track round into the field, the cows will move when they are ready to! As you see Port Issac ahead of you as you navigate the hill down to the property you can see how secluded you are in the valley, yet just a 10min easy stroll through a footpath into Port Issac. Cottage was spotless and well equipped and very peaceful. Walks in both directions but beware of the hills!

  • "We enjoyed our stay so much at Mill Barn - comfortable, cosy and secluded - just what the Doctor ordered."

The shower unit was, however, a bit of a let down as it was impossible to control the water temperature, it would go from almost scalding to cold in a matter of seconds without touching anything on the unit.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Mill Barn and you had a nice holiday. The Caretaker has checked the shower and it appears that the issue was with the hot water heater which had been adjusted so the temperature was set to the maximum. The hot water heater has been reset to a comfortable temperature and the shower is working perfectly. We hope you will visit Mill Barn again in the future for more lovely holidays. Property Owner

  • "A charming property and the welcome was warm and sincere."

We think it's a gem of a place, and perhaps we'll return one day as it's a great location to do as much or little as one pleases. Compliments to the owners!

  • "Enjoyed the holiday thoroughly - pleasant situation where cottage was, quiet but within facilities."

One problem which we didn’t overcome until third day - the bedrooms are situated against the hill wall. This presented the problem with cold making the clothing and bedding feel damp. There were instructions on the heating to not alter the buttons, but we eventually did, so the property became warmer in the evening.

  • "Mill Barn is in a lovely rural setting, 10 min walk on a footpath (can be muddy if it rains) to Port Isaac."

Lenka and Richard, your hosts, are very friendly and accommodating and live right next door. Mill Barn is rustic but has everything you need. Highly recommend it!

  • "The road to the cottage was hair raising and should be explained as such."

Port Issac was only a 10 minute walk however it was through a field of overgrown grasses and a wood which was boggy. So not a pleasant walk

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do make every effort to ensure that properties are accurately described on the website. In this case it is noted on the listing for Mill Barn that: 'This property is accessed via an unmade road which passes through a field and may not be suitable for low slung vehicles.' Most guests really enjoy the scenic approach to the property. The footpath to Port Isaac is a rural walkway which can be narrow in places and of course is affected by the weather at times! At certain times of the year it may be advisable to wear wellies or walking boots to improve your enjoyment of this handy footpath! Property Owner
