  • "The location and apartment were excellent."

    Just a few points to improve would be a table on the balcony to place drinks and food whilst enjoying the warm weather. I noticed a lot of other apartments had this facility, ours didn't. All of us in our group thought the lounge sofas were not that comfortable, we found that sitting in them for any length of time made your neck or head ache because it was difficult finding a position that you could rest your head and relax. Everything else was excellent and clean and I would recommend it.

Unfortunately we think that the balcony is too small for a larger dining table, as we find a smaller coffee table better suits the purposes of a holiday apartment. With regards to the sofas we would like to highlight that these are a fairly new addition from the last year with adjustable head rests and foot rests to offer additional comfort.     As far as location it is difficult walking into St Ives if you have mobility issues. The lift in the property was a plus. Lovely sea views. Slightly expensive for a short stay.

    We were delighted by the thoughtful extra touches we found on arrival - the fresh flowers, the scones, jam and clotted cream, the local biscuits, milk and tea and coffee provided. The White Company toiletries and bed linen were fabulous! The private parking bay and the close proximity to the town were great. We will definitely be back for another visit.     Started with a welcome pack with top quality produce including doggy treats which Willow really appreciated. The property is beautiful throughout using great quality items and was very clean.   • "It’s our fourth time back at Seamore along with our Border Terrier Gwen, with the weather being kind to us we spend a lot of time on the balcony in the sunshine with a great view from the third floor over the sea towards Gwithian."

    As for the apartment itself, has everything you need and more , your car park space in right outside your window and a lift to take luggage to and from your car is a godsend. Big plus for us was the two passes for the Gym , pool , sauna and jacuzzi along with discount at the Harbour Hotel .

  • "The holiday overall was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it."

    The only thing that we had a problem with was the late entry to the property. Although we totally understand that due to the coronavirus there is additional cleaning to be done we think that it would be helpful for the cleaners to let the company know when they have completed cleaning at a property and the company could then ring the client to let them know that the property is free for entry. As we were travelling with a 6 month old baby we would have appreciated an earlier entry than 5.00 pm as we’d been travelling since 7.00 am.

    It's perfectly placed for St Ives and exploring all the best parts of Cornwall. The apartment itself is beautifully maintained and always immaculate. Even though pets are welcome, you would never know if they had been. We don’t have any ourselves. There are some nice touches such as games console, super-fast Wi-Fi, complimentary tea, coffee and a few local treats. There is a complimentary pass for the nearby spa although we have never used it because we are always in the sea. Access is good with parking directly out front and either stairs or lift to the apartment, something our parents found helpful. We would certainly recommend it to our family and friends."

    Absolutely love it. It is ideally situated a few minutes’ walk into town with the benefit of onsite parking and a lovely view from the balcony. It is so spacious and well equipped too and spotlessly clean, high praise to Carolyn the housekeeper who is so helpful too. An absolute bonus to find such a delightful apartment which is dog friendly, although our pooch stayed at home this time. Can’t imagine anyone could fault SeaMore and I will be dropping big hints to return very soon! "

    Ideal spot to be based, pleasant walk into St Ives and conveniently positioned for the beaches and the coastal path to Carbis Bay. The free pass for the Spa at the Harbour Hotel was much appreciated and the treatments available there are reasonably priced. The third-floor apartment us spacious light and airy accessible by stairs or a lift which was much welcomed by my 14 year old border collie. I highly recommend this 3x bedroomed apartment for families or couples with dogs who welcome additional space. "

    It has everything you want for a great holiday, brilliantly equipped and the complementary passes for the Harbour Hotel pool are a nice touch if the weather happens to be less than perfect or if you just want to chill out. The location is perfect too, close enough to the beaches and town centre but quiet at night. It also enjoys great views across the bays to Philack and Godrevy. We would definitely recommend to any of our friends or family. _ "

The property

Occupying a prime position above St Ives town centre, at Gallinas Point, this three-bedroom, duplex, penthouse, enjoys stunning bay views from its balcony and most bedrooms, the beaches, shops, harbour, and St Ives scenic railway all just a short walk away.

Pet friendly, so no need to leave your dog at home and sleeping six, plus an infant, the whole family is welcome to enjoy this seaside escape to St Ives.

An expansive clever open plan design allows for everyone to socialise while cooking, dining or relaxing, floor to ceiling windows and patio doors allow natural light to flood in, lighting up the sleek wood laminate flooring, and a holiday vibe flows throughout with sunny themed soft furnishing and artwork, relax on either of the two three seat leather sofas, proving comfortable seating for everyone, and enjoy the entertainment package on the 55” television with Netflix & Now TV, or gaming on the Xbox One, alternatively step through the patio doors onto your private south facing decked balcony with a glass of something bubbly and celebrate the stunning ocean views. The kitchen and dining area are within the open plan living space, ideal for entertaining and doesn’t leave the chef isolated, furnished with a round glass table with six designer leather chairs, it’s a fabulous area for the whole group to enjoy dining in, alternatively the patio offers an alfresco option with an ocean backdrop, the contemporary designer SieMatic kitchen, with soft close units and the stunning granite work surfaces, is well-appointed with everything you need in your home from home, perch at the breakfast bar before dinner enjoying a coffee chatting with the chef, a utility cupboard in the hallway houses a washer/dryer. Three comfortable bedrooms offer a choice of sleeping options, the two top floor rooms benefit from sea views ,through large Velux windows, the master king sized out to Godrevy Lighthouse and the twin across St Ives to the island, a double ground floor room has a private en-suite with a shower, the master has the same but with a bath and shower-over, all rooms are well presented with sumptuously dressed beds and offer ample storage space.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor, here you can escape the group to treat yourself to a long soak amongst the bubbles, in a bath with shower-over.

To really capture the breath-taking views across St Ives Bay step from the living area onto your private, south facing, full-width decked balcony, two rattan bistro tables and four chairs are provided for dining alfresco or drinks in the sun.

St Ives working harbour is filled daily with fisherman landing fresh sea food, so as you can imagine its numerous cafes and restaurants are a foodies delight, some like Porthminster Beach café, which is set right on the nearest beach to the apartment are award winning, this Michelin Plate rated restaurant, offers a delicious option for lunch or dinner, with a view as good as the food, lifeguarded at peak times this beach is a wonderful place to swim or enjoy water sports, after fun in the surf tour the pretty cobbled streets for a gift from the variety of boutiques, independent shops and local art galleries, to explore exhibitions visit the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, to see how the town has inspired many famous artists.

For an enjoyable walk with the dog, join the nearby South West Coast Path, it connects the surrounding area running along the cliffs, you may even spot a seal or dolphins accompanying you in the surf below, head towards Porthkidney Beach, this stretch of sand is pet friendly all year, Carbis Bay Beach has been awarded a blue flag, so pet restrictions apply, but its azure waters are mesmerising as you stroll along its golden shores, you can also visit the surrounding area via the scenic railway, it runs beside the beaches with sea views all the way. If television shows like Doc Martin and Poldark inspired your visit to Cornwall, many of its filming locations can be enjoyed, discover historic tin mines, hidden coves and quaint harbours, maybe you prefer glorious gardens, Trebah, a sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop, near Falmouth, the lost garden of Heligan and the Eden Project’s rainforest, with its canopy walkway, offer a fun, green, and educational day out, the kids will love the rides at Flambards in Helston, or Camel Creek Adventure Park, near Wadebridge or feeding the animals at Paradise Park near Hayle.
