“1. The Lodge is well located taking into consideration the closeness of lodges on the site and quiet after construction has finished for the day 2.”

WiFi was the biggest issue - not having it directly connected to the Lodge and having to rely on the resort WiFi - you need to make this clear in the advert as families with children will face the same grief that I did on the first night and a large bill for data as well 3. The first night there we had water coming through one of the light fittings in the bunk bed room, clearly not the first time it had happened. Gene came out and resolved the issue, with the promise that a plumber would come on the Monday - we never saw the plumber. Room was damp and we ended up buying one of those container for damp conditions, ended up full of water 4. The original listing showed TV is a couple of the bedrooms and your current listing says that there is a TV in the twinned bedded room - there were no TV's 5. Some of the simple things like hooks on the back of doors to hang damp towels 6. The single room upstairs needs more than a bedside table and thought needs to be given as to whether it is actually suitable as a bedroom. 7. The upstairs balcony, which did some great views, had a birds nest with the resulting mess all over the balcony 8. The decking downstairs is rotting and my son chair leg went through it 9. There should have been some warning given about the construction traffic at the back of the lodge - it starts at 7am. It covered the cars with dust and on the last night there we had no water as they cut through the main pipe. Was resolved after a couple of hours

Thank you for your constructive feedback, we are keen to make our guests accommodation exceed their expectations. The Lodge is on one of the largest plots at Retallack. Currently the traffic from the building work is a temporary issue and is reducing as works progress. There is now wifi both in the lodge and also available in the communal areas of the resort by connecting onto the Retallack wifi service. 4G is available at all times in all areas of the lodge. The boiler has been fully repaired now so we don't expect to have any more issues in this area. DVD players and a selection of family friendly DVDs have been added to the twin and bunk rooms, as well as a selection of board games for all ages. Hooks have been added onto the back of all bedroom and bathroom doors to hang damp towels etc.. Thought will be given to this room for 2020, in the short term more furniture will be added for the convenience of guests. Migrating Swallows and Swifts are protected by law. For the short time they are with us we hope guests will enjoy them and rest assured the balcony is cleaned before each guest party arrives. We plan to add extra bird prevention over this Winter once they have migrated so nesting will be prevented or reduced next summer. New decking has now been fitted. We are pleased that despite the points raised you enjoyed your stay at Willow Lodge. - Sykes owner relations
