  • "The Property was very nice, clean and modern."

; Dog friendly with enclosed decking area. Dog friendly beach 5 min walk away. Excellent! An outside tap would be helpful to wash dogs down and sandy shoes/feet. More detailed instruction on use of TV would be useful. Sadly gas ran out day before leaving and unable to make contact with Sykes to let them know. That part not good. Have loidged my disatisfaction and being dealkt with.

  • "Lovely place for a quiet break."

Great accommodation, village, beach and pub a few hundred yards down the road, all very good.

  • "Property lovely, we had a problem with heating and water but this was all sorted within two hours."

I would highly recommend this property.

  • "Lovely spacious house with great layout and TVs that are big enough to watch."

Very pleased that the garden was fully enclosed for my terrior and big enough for her to wander and explore. Would be great to see a hairdryer....as I didn't have one with me and most rentals provide one. Had a problem with the heating and hot water one night which was rectified the next morning. Good communication from the agent. Would stay in the property again.

  • "Spaciousfor two people, and lovely quiet location."

Kitchen and living area light and airy. Bed linen a little worn. Flashing security lights a bit annoying.

  • "Keverne cottage was ideally placed if you wanted a quiet retreat away from the daily hassle and bustle of life."

There is a lovely pub within walking distance. Negative points of our holiday, we arrived at 3pm as per booking in instructions and we were told that the cleaners were running late, we were asked to return after 30 min, which we did. But it was still being finished off. Finally got into the property and the fire alarm was going off due to low battery, the cleaners must have heard it. Annoyingly we have found a review from a previous Tennant and they have reported exactly the same issue. So these reviews can not be read or no one cares! The cleaners also left the front door unlocked with no details of where the key was, its now 4pm on Friday afternoon and we are left trying to contact Sykes before they close for the weekend. Finally all solved and we can start our holiday. We have been holidaying with Sykes for a number of years and have never ever had a problem with company, their listing descriptions or anything. I feel that the statement that the person cleaning the property is the most appropriate " my sister forgot that this property was rented out this week and I have rushed down here to get it " Please change the batteries in the smoke alarm, at least make the guests feel that they are valued.

We are so sorry to hear about the issues mentioned. The incident concerning the cleaning company is unacceptable and we have addressed this with them. The last thing we want is for our guests to not feel valued. Regarding the smoke alarm, this was an issue we believed to have been resolved but only on prompts to seeing our previous 2 reviews have seen that it was not. Again, we wholeheartedly apologise for the issues and we will endeavour to ensure that they do not happen again. Property Owner

  • "Cottage itself was lovely, close to wonderful beach, also short drive to Looe and Polperro."

Highly recommend the Smugglers Arm and Beach Hut to eat, fantastic food. The cottage had all the necessities, however on arrival the ceiling alarm in the kitchen was bleeping continously due to low battery which the cleaners would have been aware off this resulted in us having to borrow a screwdriver off a neighbour so we could remove during our stay. Also sensor light below bedroom window faulty flashing incessantly before turning off which disturbed sleep, only way to rectify was to wrap sensor on foil each night to stop it coming on. Surely the owners would have been made aware. Disappointed having to do this kind of thing on holiday. Without this a higher score would have been given.

Thank you for the feedback. We are so sorry to hear about the issues you encountered. We were of the understanding that the smoke alarm issue had been resolved and are disappointed that is was ongoing for you and subsequent guests. We will endeavour to resolve the issues mentioned. • "We had a lovely week at Keveral Bay Cottage and would definitely go again!"

The location of the cottage was perfect, the beach is literally a few minutes walk away and we tried the beach cafe and Smugglers Inn (would highly recommend both). We also did the nature reserve walk which you can easily get to on foot from the cottage. The area is extremely dog friendly. The cottage itself had everything you could possibly need and more and if you have a dog as we do the garden is completely safe and secure which was a great peace of mind. Thanks for a lovely week at Keveral Bay Cottage. Nick, Helen & Charlie

  • "We absolutely loved our cottage, and our dog felt really at home there."

The property was very well maintained, clean, and had all items required for a home from home stay. The welcome gifts were a really nice gesture, the wine, and Cornish fudge were polished off on the decking. Location was perfect, only 500 yards from the beach.Everything from pots and pans, to hoover etc, was provided. We cannot wait to book again, when we left, it felt like we were moving house. Would, and have, recommended Sykes again.

Thanks for the great feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner
