  • "We do love visiting Drishti but it has shortcomings- primarily because it is tired and needs some attention."

    Also I did raise with Sykes that there was a beeping sound from the neighbouring property, Sunstone, which was constantly on for the entire 7 days. It was not audible inside Drishti but it was audible outside the front door and along that pathway.

  • "Stunning property but needs some TLC."

    2 of the 3 showers were not working for 10 / 14 days. The management company did deal with this and suggested we could be able to get some form of compensation but the owners have refused this request. It is well equipped with an enclosed garden for the dogs. Cleaning could be better.

  • "On first impressions that property is stunning , with an amazing view ."

    But as you start to live there you realise the property needs a lot of attention and a deep clean . For example broken tiles in bathroom, tiles dirty, shower needs up dating , paint work needs attention I could go on but much work needed . Also the beds are very uncomfortable. But the property is still very nice .

  • "Fantastic location - very close to beach, shops and restaurants."

    Lovely view from the balcony. Very well equipped kitchen. Great parking. On the downside - windows leaked when it was raining, beds in all rooms were incredibly small, twin room had no bedside tables/lights, shower in family bathroom didn’t work properly, tumble drier had no heat whatsoever and keys were not in key safe. Such a shame, as it would be easy to make this a fantastic property.

  • "The house was great."

    The beds are tiny but hey ho. There were a few snagging things which I got in touch with John bray about and never heard back. No fault of the owner. Everything was provided which was great and it was good stuff - no crap Ikea pans. Makes a huge difference. We adored the proximity to Polzeath beach. At one point we were cleaning and we swept up loads of dog hairs. We didn’t bring dogs so that was a bit gross

    Having had many holidays In Polzeath we all agreed that this house had the best location with the best views that we have stayed.Whilst this is not a criticism a larger or second fridge for cooling those holiday drinks would have been nice! Overall would thoroughly recommend and hope to return sometime.w

  • "Property is absolutely stunning and we could not get enough of the views !"

    There is nothing it didn't have facilities wise. Could do with maybe a small welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk and the info pack being left out but other than that we loved it.

  • "We stayed in this house 10 years ago, the balcony extension is a great improvement, unfortunately the double bed in the on suite is as uncomfortable as it was 10 years ago and the sofas are also uncomfortable."

    Still an amazing place to stay in but would recommend new washing up bowl and replace toilet brushes as these smaller details matter. One other item would be cleaning of the double duvet as there is a major stain, not good.

  • "We Loved the house and the perfect location."

    The views were stunning . The property had everything you need for your stay . The down side is the property could do with a little updating as some things are looking a bit worn ie the bathrooms and some of the furniture but overall would stay again.

  • "Great location, great view but a welcome pack like other cottage/holiday home companies like your competitors would have been welcomed."

    Some maintenance issues need to be dealt with here and there but it’s a great house bar the beds. Neither en-suite has a king sized bed and in fact the double and singles are particularly tiny. Those need some consideration.

  • "The property is lovely, perfect setting to get to local area without having to drive."

    Well equipped for 8 people, garden and terrace all lovely with amazing view. Only downfall is cleanliness. Would benefit from some cleaning products given 8 occupants for a week. Would be better with at least some kitchen spray and toilet cleaner as difficult to keep worktops clean without spray and I wouldn’t expect to need to take that on holiday with me. Also there is a serious problem with ants in the house, a constant trail of them in 2 bedrooms, on the living room floor and kitchen island, very unpleasant. Clearly visible from day one so again the property is lovely, but level of cleanliness lets it down. Despite that I would recommend the property as a perfect base in such a beautiful area but cleanliness and ant issue needs to be addressed.

  • "The plus side of Dishtri is the amount of space and the view which is amazing."

    However there were an awful lot of negatives.There is obviously a general maintenance and cleaning issue.Badly fitting door in bedroom,broken toilet roll holder,cigarette burn marks in pillow case ,no outside door on fridge freezer,overflowing rubbish in bin area. Also as the house is pet friendly it would be useful to enclose the garden we weren’t able to leave the dogs out there.A microwave would also be useful. It’s such a shame because the house could be amazing with some tlc.

The open-plan kitchen, sitting room with dining area, and utility room are ready to welcome you with all the necessary amenities for a stress-free stay.

Allow the designated chef to rustle up a culinary delight before gathering around the dining table to tuck in; alternatively, if the weather permits, why not head out to the private balcony, where you can soak in the stunning sea views and relish a cold tipple of your choice.

When the evening draws to a close, head back inside to discover four bedrooms, comprising of a double with its own handy en-suite, a double, a twin with an en-suite, and a twin.

In addition, a family bathroom with bath including overhead shower, are on hand for you to freshen up or indulge a long soak at the end of an adventurous day.

If you can tear yourself away, look out for outdoor activities around Wadebridge, such as biking, walking and kayaking, or browse the shops, cafes and pubs, before taking a stroll along the Camel Trail.

For a day out, why not take a drive to Padstow, a historic fishing village, home to Padstow Harbour, a selection of splendid restaurants, Padstow Museum and Prideaux Place, an Elizabethan manor with beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the Camel Estuary.

Take a trip on a ferry to Rock, while savouring the stunning views, spend the day relaxing on Rock Beach or trying your hand at a range of watersports on offer, including windsurfing, paddleboarding and water skiing.

Drishti is a wonderful base for a holiday by the Cornish coast, with much to explore and discover.

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
