"Beautiful, spacious, comfortable home."
Equipped with everything you need. Great location. We will stay again. I’d happily live there. That window! Garden is glorious. Comfy beds. So quiet.
Parking is an issue. Water lane is narrow and has a deep, hidden, sharp drop gully down one side and the parking space is small. It is doable for a competent driver (not me) but you have to tuck right in with a lot of manoeuvring and the neighbour still complained. But you can park 2 mins away.
The lady I spoke to at Sykes was very helpful.

The house could do with a deep clean would have loved to have lit the log burner but no logs or kindling were left. Definitely can't park your car outside the house unless you have a mini.
Thank you for your feedback. In future we will be providing a first basket of logs for all guests.

"The location was brilliant and being able to walk to the beach, bars and shops was great."
The toilet on the landing was a little public (!) but the ground floor was good. The wetsuit facility was really good.
The parking is really only for a small car and we were unable to use it, which meant we had to park on British Road -no problem in off season - but packing and unpacking was stressful.
Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that you enjoyed staying at the house and found the location convenient.

Ery high spec. All the crockery and utensils equally elegant. We had a terrific stay, making the most of St Agnes, the surfing, the beach, the walks, pubs, shops and galleries.
Even haad a movie night in!
The caretaker and gardener were fabulous and so kind.
Only would suggest you bring a small or narrow car. Ours was too big for the parking space but parking was easy in thw village. Even if it was uphill!
We would love to come again!

The party in the the twin top room had some difficulty with internet access and wondered if a booster may help. The shower was a bit small though we know was advertised as such.
Thank you for your feedback. We will look into the internet access issue you have raised and see what we can do to improve Wi-Fi coverage in the loft room.

"The cottage was a great, super quiet but central location in St."
Agnes. A short walk for meals out at a range of eating places (as a group of vegetarians The Taphouse was excellent!) and also to the bakery first thing in the morning for a great choice of breads and pastries for breakfast and packed lunches. There was minimal road walking to access miles of footpaths including the coastal path which means the car was not needed on many days.
The cottage itself was excellently equipped for home catering for large groups and the log burner was really appreciated too. A really comfortable cottage, we had a lovely holiday and would certainly both recommend and return in the future:)
So glad to hear that you had an enjoyable stay in St Agnes. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

"Our stay at 2 Water Lane was perfect."
The cottage was in a lovely location in St Agnes near a cafe, restaurant and bar and a few minutes walk off the town centre. It was equipped with everything you could possibly wish for in a holiday home (good bathroom with shower, big kitchen, comfy living room and spacious bedrooms) and made for a totally relaxing family holiday over Christmas. It is within walking distance to the beach and coastal paths. The parking is a bit tricky with space for one small car but there are plenty of on-street parking options within a couple of minutes walk from the property.

"We were very impressed with the property."
Good decor, size, facilities and comfort. Not easy to find places with two double bedrooms plus, for multi-generational visitors! It is also wonderfully quiet and private tucked down the lane. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of hot water whenever needed. If you have a bigger car you can park on other roads, free, round the corner. The lovely, lively cove is just down the road and everything has been thought of in St Agnes, including plenty of benches to view the sea at high tide. Great toasted sandwiches in the cafe there too. Couldn’t have asked for more (maybe an extra week!).

"Great location in the wonderful St Agnes."
We had a really comfortable and fun packed week and the house served us perfectly. Loved the games and DVDs and the wood burner. As other have said, the parking is a tricky space so a bit of an added stress. Only gripe would be to have a drier as well as the washing machine. Hard to get things dry quick enough esp in the colder months. But that’s a minor issue!

The car parking at the property is very small and the lane on which the house sits is very narrow, we were unable to park outside and had to drive around looking for parking most days
We are sorry if you found the parking difficult. It is possible to park a large estate car outside, but it takes a few goes and as you say the lane is narrow and there is a stream opposite. Usually it it quite easy to find parking in Peterville which is a few minutes walk from the house.

Beach is half a mile away, and although not as sandy as the Perrenporth beach it is a nice little cove with good views and coastal walks. St Agnes is a lovely little village and I am glad we ended up choosing this as a location.

"We loved our stay at 2 Water Lane, in fact we didn’t want to leave."
St. Agnes is such a nice place and we used it as a base to see Cornwall.
The house location is great, within 5 minutes walk to lovely bars and restaurants and not much further to the beach. The listing is accurate (in fact, the house was nicer than we were expecting), the attention to detail was immaculate so we felt very welcome. It is indeed very difficult to use the parking in front of the house, but we found parking spaces elsewhere. The only negative I can think is that we couldn’t get hot water in the bathroom tap, but that was very minor, the shower is very good. I would 100% recommend this place and I hope we get to go back.
Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased you loved your stay. We have spoken with the owner regarding the issue you encountered with the bathroom tap and are pleased to report this has now been replaced. We are sorry you did not notify us of the problem whilst you were at the property, however we look forward to welcoming you back to 2 Water Lane in the future.

"It is a really great house, with a very tight parking space in the centre of a great Cornish village."
The house is clean and spacious, and the garden and deck are wonderful. We had a great week.
What lets the property down is the fact that it is fitted out like a house - not a rental property. The kitchen worktop is wooden and is rotting in places due to the neglect of the renters. The dark coloured towels match the decoration wonderfully, but are covered in bleach marks where they have been abused by renters. It's things like that which make the house look more tired and worn than it actually is.
Thank you for completing your feedback, which we have discussed with the owner. New towels have been purchsed. The kitchen work top is not rotten but will be rubbed down and resurfaced later in the year due to wear and tear following a very busy season.

"We were really looking forward to this holiday after all the lockdowns."
The house at 2 Water Lane provided us with home away from home with everything we needed for our comfort. The kitchen was very well equipped. There were plenty of dishes for cooking and good space for everything. We really appreciated all the books, DVDs, games as we spend our evenings playing games with our boys or watching TV. I especially enjoyed the book about history of St Agnes with old photographs.
The house is very tastily decorated, the beds were super comfortable and our boys really loved "their" attic room. St Agnes is fantastic place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and close to nature to stay. The beaches and coast are breathtaking. We woke up every morning to singing birds. Village of St Agnes has plenty to offer with lots of places to eat and buy food from but at the same time staying quiet and traditional. We love the place and will be back for sure!

"Great location, clean cottage, would go there again, but with 4 people."
It sleeps 6 but the attic room is only suitable for children, no wardrobe to hang clothes.
Only 1 bathroom which is downstairs. You can’t really count the tiny shower in the attic and the tiny toilet under the stairs.
If only 4 people are in the cottage it is ok.
We have a small car which fitted in the small parking space , if you have a large car parking elsewhere is difficult on the narrow streets
Great holiday though, cottage has loads of character

00 for our week & really expected a much higher standard of cleanliness.
Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback following your stay at 2 Water Lane. We were sorry to hear you encountered some issues during your stay, we've spoken with the owner who has asked us to cover the points mentioned in order to help yourselves and reassure future guests. We have now replaced the broken clothes airer and thank you for bringing that to our attention, bulbs occasionally break and our housekeeper would have been more than happy to replace them had she been notified during your stay. As 2 Water Lane is a self catering property kitchen sundries are not generally provided. The feedback we receive for 2 Water Cottage is overwhelmingly positive and we are confident that any issues highlighted are a one off.
