    “The house was great.”

We particularly appreciated the large amount of crockery and glassware which meant we had plenty to use even when the dishwasher was in use.

The property

Overlooking Porthmeor Beach in iconic St Ives, sits this splendid homestay for up to nine guests.

Set over three floors, the principal sitting room and bedrooms offer guests tantalising views of turquoise waters and wild surf at the beach below.

On the ground floor, is a large sitting room with space and sofas for everyone, this opens in to a fabulous kitchen with a long dining table and more comfy seating.

At the rear, there is a handy utility space and a downstairs shower room.

Upstairs on the first floor, there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The master bedroom on this floor is ensuite and is blessed with gorgeous elevated sea views while the other two bedrooms are both twin rooms or can be configured as king-size doubles on request.

On the top floor is a single bedroom and another standard double with ensuite shower room, again looking out to some stunning sea views above Porthmeor Beach.

There is a small courtyard space accessed either via the kitchen's french doors or through the utility area, as well as a small decked balcony off the first floor twin bedroom at the rear.

Stroll in to the buzzing centre of St Ives with its pretty harbour and wide range of shops, galleries and eateries or hop on a boat to see beautiful St Ives from the water on all sides.

If you can tear yourself away from this enchanting town, take the scenic coast road towards Lands End for a real taste of truly unspoiled West Cornwall with its historic tin mines and rugged beauty.

Stylish and well placed for beach lovers, this is a great choice for larger families or groups of friends looking to get away to the West.

About the location

ST IVES

Penzance 6 miles.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort. The surrounding area has much for the visitor to see and do with abundant wildlife, fabulous coastal walks, top quality surfing and the Celtic mysteries of the Land's End Peninsula are all within easy reach. A superb destination!
