  • "We had a lovely time in beech cottage, It was so cosy and warm with wonderful grounds to walk our dog."

There were other holiday homes on site but nicely spread out so we felt like we had our own private space Phil the owner was on hand if we needed help with anything. Would recommend a visit

  • "Lovely cottage, part of a farm that sits in its own, very quiet twenty acres, where dogs can safely be let off the lead in order to run around."

Cottage immaculately clean with everything you could need. Lovely, helpful hosts and it was nice to meet some of the caravan owners who were on the other side of the field. A great place to base yourself, whether you want to explore Cornwall or just chill sitting in the grounds. Mevagissey is lovely to visit (you'll walk round it quite quickly) but don't follow the satnav; the road is barely one car width! Pity the driver towing a caravan who meets the same coming from the opposite direction! We mentioned this to one of the caravaners and they'd followed the same route, though not towing, and found it hairy, too! Though it's a bit further, but doesn't take longer, go via St. Austell. Charlestown (near St. Austell), St. Mawes and Pendennis Castle (English Heritage, Falmouth) are worth visiting, as is The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which was superb value for money. We hope you enjoy your trip, as well as your stay at Vose Farm!

  • "A very peaceful location, with well tended grounds."

Cottage building was attractive. Laundry facilities were good (rotary clothes line in small garden with a daisy filled lawn) and the cottage was clean. All bathroom and kitchen facilities operated well. We were surprised there was no ‘welcome’ kit with milk, tea and coffee or a few biscuits and no shower gel - the only accommodation where we’ve found non of these ready. We’d brought our own but these touches always make guests feel welcome, even if in small amounts. Towels were clean but rough. We were disappointed that there were no outdoor cushions to make the two metal chairs comfortable so we could enjoy a morning coffee and that the outdoor bench/ table was rotting and not comfortable for summer evening relaxation, where the pleasant surroundings could then be enjoyed. Good heating and wifi and a smart tv were appreciated. Bed not very comfortable, hairdryer needed a good clean and torch provided but not working. Kitchen equipment only okay and nothing extra like silver foil, clingfilm, welcome pack included.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to hear you had a nice stay at Beech Cottage and we will take your comments on board. Property Owner

It was situated close to lots of areas to visit , St Austell , Eden Project … We would definitely stay here again and have passed the cottage details onto friends . • "We had a lovely holiday in Beech Cottage."

The cottage itself was very comfortable and the fenced in garden was ideal for our spaniel. The grounds in which the cottage stands is wonderful, from the small lake, where Canadian geese had 7 babies whilst we were there, to the dog exercise wooded area. The owners were very friendly and on hand if you needed them. We hope to return for another relaxing break. John & Elaine

  • "The cottage was excellent and exceeded my expectations."

It was very clean, had excellent furnishings, no pine junk, good size TV, free WiFi, good central heating, good kitchen facilities, and was in a very quiet area. Its situated on a farm but there was no activity of any kind of farm activities, the grassed areas were very well kept and there is a good sized pond. The location is about a mile from a pub/restaurant and its about 35 minutes from Falmouth, Newquay and Padstow. Top class place if you want peace and quiet. I'm normally quite difficult to please but I would recommend this place without reservations, it was great.

  • "We have just returned from a one week break at Beech cottage and can't wait to go back."

The location is perfect with stunning views down to the pond and surrounding countryside. There were geese with their goslings on the pond which was beautiful to see. The cottage has a front and back garden, both fully enclosed and had a good patch of grass for our dog to lie on to soak up the sun. The cottage itself had all the facilities you need for the stay and was very comfortable. The cottage is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. Loads to see and do with just a short drive or stay onsite and enjoy the woodland walk. Thank you for a lovely stay. We had a wonderful relaxing time.

  • "The cottage was spotless and very comfortable."

It was in a beautiful setting which was very peaceful. It was well situated to be able to go most places in Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beech cottage. Just one small criticism a few more pieces of crockery and dishes would be useful especially for those of us who like to cook and eat at the property, however this would not stop us booking again.

Beech Cottage was beautifully furnished with curtains and cushions etc recently replaced. The bedding was high quality Egyptian Cotton and the bed was so comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped for self-catering with the cleanest oven I've ever seen at a holiday kitchen. Great to have a washing machine, and washing line outside too. Outside seating front and back to enjoy the sunshine both morning and evening. The grounds were amazing and designed to enable walking/running staying within the farm grounds. Owners were really helpful and checked shortly after our arrival if we had everything we needed - a lovely touch. A fantastic cottage - highly recommended.

  • "This is a cosy little cottage set in fantastic surroundings."

Set in the Cornish countryside with its' own large duck pond and woodland for walks it was just idyllic. The garden is fully enclosed which was ideal for our small dog. The owner was very helpful when we had to ring for directions. The directions given say that the sat nav stops 600 yards short. Ours stopped over 2 miles short (Tom Tom) in the village of Tregony (nice little shop/post office there) hence our confusion when we couldn't find the farm after 600 yards. He came to check all was well after we had settled into the cottage. I have marked the cottage down on comfort as the sofa was just too comfy and we struggled to get up out of it!!! Lovely place to stay in Cornwall with helpful host.
