  • "We had a fantastic week in this lovely house celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and our little boys 3rd birthday !"

    The house was super clean and equipped with everything you needed . Toddler - stair gates , cot , safety bed guard and even a high chair ! I was very impressed how child friendly it was . Dog - bowls , treats/toys & poo bags For once this is the first property to have the essentials like washing up liquid , hand soap sponges, washing machine tablets etc and a bonus to have a tv in every room ! WiFi was excellent which helped out with the no signal on our phones . Such a peaceful area to go for a walk down through the ford and seeing all the horses in the fields bonus for me being horse crazy ! Even tho you felt like you was in the middle of no where you was so close to Newquay and food shops and mc Donalds which was fantastic for my fussy toddler. I would definitely recommend to others and we would re-visit in the future ! 4x adults 1x toddler 1x dog (After having 2 other houses cancelling on us I feel lucky we were able to book this house !)

  • "Great accommodation with everything you could need."

    Good wifi, bbq, dishwasher, washer and dryer (which was handy for drying beach towels). Loads of wardrobe space in bedrooms. Very powerful showers. Lovely, quiet rural location but only 5 mins drive away from Newquay. Complimentary cream tea provided on arrival and dog treats which was a nice touch. We were especially grateful for the milk that had been left so we could make a cuppa after the long journey down. Would definitely return.

  • "What a find."

    From the peaceful surroundings, but no distance to the hustle and bustle of Newquay. The house itself extremely comfortable beds sofa etc. you will need for nothing kitchen as everything you will need. My grandson cried when it was time to go home, I know how he felt can’t wait to return

  • "Wildwood is in a great location and very convenient for supermarkets and local beaches."

    Sadly our stay began with us finding filthy, food encrusted plates and dishes from previous guests (that had been put away without being checked) The owner happened to be at the property so he took them away to clean them, but the mugs and cutlery were the same too (not great!) We had to give everything a good clean before we could prepare any food. Not ideal after travelling for four hours! Cleanliness in general needs attention, skirting boards thick with dust, crumbs, wrappers and dirt under the sofa seats and white dog hair on the seat pads. If you are staying in winter months, don’t expect to be warm. When we turned the heating up, it randomly kept going down. We couldn’t understand it as we’ve used the same system before. It wasn’t until the owner popped by that we realised that it was being controlled by an app on his phone and we presume it was being turned back down/adjusted. Thank goodness there’s also a log burner, but the bedrooms were cold during our stay.

Prior to your visit, we had a deep clean carried out at the property and are shocked to hear you found these cleanliness issues. These have all been investigated and cleared. Regarding your issues with the heating, as discussed with you at the time there was no error with the heating. It wasn't adjusted via an App during your stay, I called round to the property because the heating had been turned off and I wanted to show you how you could adjust the heating. system. It was found to be working perfectly following your stay and no further issues have been reported since. Property Owner

  • "Just got back from a wonderful week staying at Wildwood."

    The house on arrival was very welcoming, loved the scones and biscuits, thank you. The house was really nice and lovely and clean. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking meals, the enclosed garden was great for our dog Teddy, he loved his first beach holiday. The area is very tranquil, it was so nice to be away from city noise!

  • "This was a lovely property which, despite being off the beaten track, was close to a number of amenities."

    The building was comfortable for a family of 4 adults and the kitchen was well equipped and enabled us to cook some good meals. The pasties from the local farm shop were some of the best we've had. We have already booked again for next year.

  • "Me, My Wife, 2 Kids and a Dog Stayed here for a lovely 7 Day's."

    The Property is Fantastic and in a good Quiet Location. The Garden is Very Secure and you can hear the Wildlife when you are in the Garden enjoying a Drink at the table. The Owners live next door but stay out of your Way but they are on hand if anything is required. This was helpful to us as the Fridge Freezer unfortunately broke on our first day on arrival. The Owners went out of their way to get a temporary fridge and ordered a brand new one to be fitted on the Monday. The new Fridge Freezer being fitted didn't put us out in any way and no mess was made. The Owners stayed with the Contractors the whole time so our Belongings were Secure. This was out of everyone's hands and things break. The effort and care that was shown/given was outstanding! We will be back again and it's nice to see where the owners care and want to make your holiday a perfect Stay. The Bathrooms and Toilets were Clean. Showers and Powerful so it's perfect for getting the Sand off you after a Beach Day. It's a very short drive to Newquay Town and there's a Perfect Farm Shop down the road that's very nice. Dishwasher, Washing Machine and Condenser Dryer all worked Perfectly and was a pleasure to use! Smart TVs in the Living Room and all 3 Bedrooms too. We will 100% be back in 2025. We enjoyed our stay and as a family we love Cornwall. I hope the Owners read this as we are very pleased with the Efforts and Care. Such a pleasure meeting you and thanks for having us.   • "Stunning property, in the perfect location."

    It felt secluded and peaceful with only a 10 minute drive from Fistral beach. This lovely cottage was very clean and we were welcomed with fresh scones and clotted cream! We will definitely be visiting again on our next visit to Newquay. Thank you Wildwood for a wonderful stay

  • "Great property, beautiful peaceful location, everything you need and more has been supplied."

    Delicious welcome basket for us (including scones, jam and clotted cream) and also for the dogs who had the best time ever digging holes in the sand on the many nearby beaches. Teenagers very happy with super fast broadband and Netflix on all the tvs! Fab holiday - would love to return soon - thank you!

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Wildwood."

    It is so peaceful and beautiful! You are only a few minutes drive from bustling Newquay but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. There are so many birds and the area is very pretty. The house itself is cosy and comfortable with every amenity you could need. The kitchen is very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. The house is lovely and warm. The house is situated in a great location as you can easily travel to the far south of Cornwall- we visited StIves, Perranporth and Porthleven, and travel north to places such as Padstow. Nearby Crantock is stunning. Fistral beach is great for watching the surfers. You have all the facilities you could need in Newquay. The hosts left us a wonderful basket of goodies- scones with local jam and clotted cream, tea and coffee, milk and sugar, and even some Easter eggs as we were staying over Easter! Thank you so much- we were so sad to leave and can’t wait to come back!

  • "Great holiday home that really suited us."

    Quiet, comfortable, well equipped and a lovely welcome pack and chew sticks for the dogs. The garden was compact yet had everything we wanted, table and chairs, lawn, outside lights and was perfectly secure for our 2 small dogs. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "I would suggest some better directions to the property as it is very remote and access on the shorter route to Newquay is via a ford, which was very high and difficult to pass in a normal saloon car."

    Either the property was very well insulated or the heating was hard to manage as it did get quite warm, but an excellent property and well finished - we had a great stay.

The ford is usually very low even in the winter months however due to the high rainfall this winter it has meant that it has been higher on occasions. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely property, one of the best equipped we’ve been in."

    We brought things but didn’t have to use them. Very comfy and appeasing throughout and very welcoming for the dogs. Would definitely stay again. It was beautiful and can imagine in warmer months enjoying the back garden and outter areas. Look forward to rebooking some time soon.

Park off-road and enter into this lovely property, discovering an open-plan living space with stunning décor, encouraging guests to make the most of the amply-fitted kitchen, and dine in this opulent space.

Afterwards, retire to the homely sitting area, enjoying a good book in the glow of the woodburning stove.

When the sun is shining, throw open the bifold doors and head out into the delightful garden space, reclining in the sitting area or making the most of the barbecue as your four-legged companions relax on the lawn.

This Cornish village rests some three miles south-east of Newquay, named after the surrounding area of moorland and playing host to a local shop, a couple of pubs, a garden centre and the railway station, which operates local services every couple of hours between Par and Newquay. You can also access Newquay by car, via the A392, and discover its endless supply of rolling surf, three wonderful beaches, each offering something different, and a variety of family-friendly attractions. Spend a day at the zoo or sea life centre with the kids and try out some of its finest restaurants and bars for light refreshments or a spot of lunch. The South West Coast Path is a must, attracting tourists from all over, home to an abundance of wildlife and spectacular landscape scenery, as well as picturesque beaches and hidden coves. You also have the chocolate-box fishing village of Padstow with its thriving harbour and traditional Cornish amenities, while the city of Truro has museums, its beautiful cathedral, and cobbled streets.
