Price Match Guarantee

If you find a cheaper price anywhere online, we’ll refund you the difference.

Price Match Guarantee

If you find your online booking of this property through Sykes cheaper on another website and you meet the conditions below, let us know and we will pay you an amount equal to the difference in price.

Conditions:

The other offer that you could have booked on another website on the same day that you made your Sykes’ booking is identical to it – it is the same specific property, the same check-in and check-out dates, for the same number of guests and it has got the same, or better for guests, cancellation terms.

The other offer is cheaper than your Sykes’ booking when you ignore all optional extras on both and all vouchers, discount codes, gift cards, loyalty, reward or other type of membership or repeat business schemes and any generic promotion on the other offer.

Within 7 days of making your Sykes’ booking you have provided us with evidence of the other offer that is acceptable to Sykes (for example, a screenshot, print out or picture of the full details of the other offer from the point in the booking journey when all that’s left to do is pay) together with its cancellation terms.

This guarantee only applies to a property when you see it advertised on the property listing when you make your booking.

How to claim:

Send the evidence we’ve asked for above to pricematch@sykescottages.co.uk along with your booking reference.

We’ll check if it qualifies for our Price Match Guarantee.

If it does, we will pay you the relevant difference within 14 days. That’s it!

  • "Absolutely perfect if you want to get away from it all or if you want to explore Cornwall."

It is so peaceful and relaxing, so perfect if you want to completely chill out and forget about the rest of the world. The nearby quarries are beautiful and like something from a fairytale. The bridle path is tricky with a normal car but to me it just added to the uniqueness of the stay. The management team need a special mention - we spent our honeymoon here and they decorated the whole cottage with balloons and rose petals etc. It made it really special.

  • "We arrived in the dark- excited to see Kitts Cottage in all her glory on the hill."

Woke up to an amazing, beautiful cottage with lovely views across the hills. Great walks - excellent for the dog. Although the weather was wet and cold we all enjoyed sitting around the fire, playing games, watching TV, eating and drinking. Bed very comfy, house warm and kitchen modern, clean and big! We would love to come back again and see Kitts Cottage in the summer. Great job Mark and Hayley on cleanliness and homeliness. Very cosy!

  • "Amazing but heating needs to be addressed!"

Without spending an additional £80+ we would have been cold as the heaters supplied weren't sufficient for December!

  • "Just returned from a week at this lovely cottage with our small dog."

Beautiful peaceful location with breathtaking views. With its location it is simple to visit most of this area of Cornwall on both sides of the coast. Met lots of friendly locals and found nearly everywhere very welcoming. Great local walks and great to explore hidden trails and paths. Only downside for me was the bridle path leading up to the cottage which is in a poor state and can only be passed at a snail's pace. The other downside for me was that due to visiting at half term most places we went were impossible to get to or stay at. Not anyone's fault except our own for picking this week and I would love to visit again at a different time of year.

  • "Thank you Hayley and mark for the great coms before we arrived."

The cottage was lovely and exactly what we hoped for ... enjoying evening in front of the lovely log fire ! Our daughter loved every minute of exploring the garden along with Benson the dog ! Thank you Hayley and Mark for the fresh flowers and cream tea on our arrival! Great place to stay and would definitely book again.

  • "So lucky to find this place with availability in August."

My husband and I with our two terriers came to stay hoping for a relaxing getaway from our busy customer facing jobs. Kitts more than met our needs. From the moment we arrived, up the rocky narrow track, we felt at home. Mark and Hayley gave excellent directions and assured us they were on hand if we needed anything. We were a little late arriving and happy to let ourselves in. Everything was perfect! The cottage is beautiful, cosy and comfortable with all mod cons, without being pretentious or 'boutique' There were vases of beautiful fresh garden flowers in the living room and bedroom and a cream tea left out in the kitchen. We had some damp weather so lit the log burner a couple of nights. It was a lovely touch that logs, kindling and firelighters were left for us to use. We topped up at Carharrack Animal Feeds a couple of miles away who were very helpful and friendly too. Me and the dogs absolutely loved the garden - lots of springy grass surrounded by stone hedges smothered in foxgloves, ferns and crocosmia. We sat out on the lawn a couple of evenings and watched the rabbits emerge and bats flit overhead. The stars were stunning! The kitchen was light and spacious and was easy to cook in. The bed was super comfy with a glorious view out the window. The bathroom was lovely and light with a good shower. There was a great walk from the cottage up the track to Carn Marth amphitheater which was magical to visit in the mist. Nearby we drove to Mylor and St Anthony, both of which were great for the doggies. We ate out at the Fox & Hounds in Comford, The Coppice in Lanner and the Star Inn in St Day, all were dog friendly and great meals out. We all felt very much at home at Kitts and it was a great wrench to leave. It was such a calming and rejuvenating time that I promptly informed my husband that he would be taking me here again next year for my birthday!

  • "A beautiful, peaceful spot."

Perfect for a rest and recharge with our two dogs. Took advantage of the paths and bridleways nearby as well as visiting Trebah Gardens and the Roseland Peninsula.\ The cottage is perfect in all weathers and very cosy in the evenings. We very much appreciated the cream tea on arrival and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The garden is just lovely, particularly for our two naughty terriers who spent ages chasing balls and each other round & round! I love the blaze of orange crocosmia up the centre and the daisies along the wall.

  • "We had the most amazing stay at Kitts Cottage."

We stayed a week for New Years and arrived in the dark, after a long 7 hour journey! Mark and Hayley's directions were spot on! Although there is a long uphill road and a bridle path to be driven up towards the cottage, we managed just fine. We woke up the next day from our cosy bed and saw the most amazing sunrise and landscape across Cornwall! Kitts cottage is just beautiful and cosy. Sitting high on the hill surrounded by fields. The lounge has a big fireplace where we sat most evenings after our walks with the dog, eating drinking and playing games. The kitchen is surprisingly large, brand new and had all mod cons. The local pub was just a 5 minute drive away and we also went into St Ives a few times, which is only 15 mins away.

Hayley gave us such a warm welcome that we felt at home from the first minute. With the Cornish drizzle outside, we appreciated the warm fire and the cosy place even more. Thank you Hayley, for your enthusiasm.

We loved the walks in the local area and the stunning views.

  • "We loved the cottage as soon as we got here."

It was even better than we were expecting; it had stunning views and was very cosy. It was very peaceful, perfect for us all to rest and have fun; it was an ideal location to explore Cornwall. Our seven year old son said he would love to live in a place like this and that alone was worth the trip. He also made the most of the lovely garden, as did our Cocker Spaniel Olly, and we could relax while we watched them. We will miss the evening walks up the hill to the quarry - such a beautiful place to go and watch the sun set. Thanks to Marc and Hayley for making this an unforgetttable holiday, from the welcoming flowers & scones with cream and jam, to making sure we had everything we needed to settle into the cottage. Would love to come back again.

ST DAY

Porthtowan 5 miles; Portreath 6 miles; Truro 7 miles; St Ives 20 miles; Falmouth 10 miles.

St Day was originally named after the little known Saint Day or Dye (better known in Brittany). The village now has a pub and convenience store, as well as a granite, gothic-style church dating back to 1828. Six miles away is the popular village of Portreath which attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese takeaway, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 7 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast to Gwithian and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
