    The weather wasn’t much better this time but it was still as lovely and as comfortable and well appointed. Our dogs also love it because of the underfloor heating.

The property

Beside Dozmary Pool on atmospheric Bodmin Moor, a detached house on two levels with far-reaching views across the lake to the moors beyond. It was converted from a stone barn but is now thoroughly modernised with underfloor heating and a handmade oak kitchen. Ideal for those wishing to escape a hectic lifestyle it offers peace and tranquillity. A walled garden leads to the lake. For the true country-lover, wild swimmer, Kayaker or peace-seeker, this is the place.

This ancient location is home to mystical standing stones, old buildings dating from medieval times and thousands of years’ worth of tin mining heritage. There are plenty of beautiful walks to discover, with challenging climbs up some of the tallest spots in Cornwall, offering fantastic far-reaching views towards both the north and south coast on fine days.
