  • "The property was exceptionally well presented and a delight to stay in."

Even though pets are allowed there was no cause for concern to non pet owners choosing to stay here as it is immaculate in its cleanliness and freshness.

  • "Goose Cottage is a lovely cosy place to stay, and exceeded our expectations which were set high to start with."

It is plenty big enough for the two of us; very light and airy due to the vaulted ceiling in the lounge/diner with velux windows and the double sets of french doors and glass; very comfortable being furnished to a high standard; and provided everything we needed for a week's stay. The location makes it an ideal place to stay for exploring the tourist hotspots of the Cotswolds, and Stratford upon Avon is only about 25 minutes drive away. Can't fault a thing, highly recommended!

..The owners were very helpful and thank you Billy for being friendly with our Gizmo 0nly negative thing was would have preferred a free standing shower as bath too high for someone with less mobility.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday and look forward to welcoming you back again. We are going to fit some grab handles to the bath to help people during future bookings. Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Goose Lodge for two weeks and we loved it."

On arrival, the place was very clean, tidy and warm. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is very stylish with ample open plan kitchen/dining/living room and good size bedroom and bathroom; all facilities are well equipped. The outdoor gravel area is enclosed and allowed a safe space for our dog. Halford is pretty and very small, in fact, there is only a small market with limited choice, but the Shipston on Stour village is 5 minutes drive, and we enjoyed the quiet countryside walks. I highly reccomend this place!

  • "The lodge we stayed in was fantastic it had everything you need and the attention to detail was first class the decor and as soon as we stepped in through the door I said wow the hosts were very helpful and friendly and halford itself was lovely lots if different fields to go in if you have a dog which we did."

I would highly recommend the property. One thing though is if you take a dog there is no garden so you cant let it out on it's own kindly the hosts lent us a baby gate so we could open one of the doors and put it in so our dog could look out but it wasnt a problem as I took .y dog on a leaf lots of walks

Thank you for the very positive feedback. Since your visit we have fitted a 5 bar gate at the top of the drive to enable our guests with dogs to close it behind them giving a safe and secure area to the front and side of the building on the gravel. Property Owner

The lodge is beautiful, very comfortable and very clean. Everything you could need is provided but if there is something you need the owners are more than happy to help. There is lots to do in the area and many quaint villages to visit, also fabulous countryside for walking. We will definitely be visiting again.
