  • "Gate and steps from the raised decking area to the lakeside."

It’s really annoying having to walk all the way around the property to get to the hot tub and the lake. Knives and forks are quite small. Almost like childrens cutlery. A butter knife would be useful too as the knives are all pointy ones. Apart from that the property was excellent!!

  • "Lovely bright, modern, high standard lodge."

Everything we needed for our stay was there. All 3 bedrooms were a decent double size, with good sized wardrobes. Loved the hot tub and decking area. Fishing within stones throw was enjoyed too. Lovely areas to explore in the location- we did Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat and Go Ape in the forest 30 minutes away. ( Did a long weekend stay).Would love to stay there again and explore more.

  • "We had a great 4 night stay at kingfisher."

We will definitely be back. We stayed don't he first night during Storm Arwen and lost power (the whole county lost power) the owners were really supportive they made sure we were OK, they also sourced us a hotel out of the county which we could have stayed in if the power did not come back on (thankfully it did come back on at 4pm). Lovely place we will definitely be back to stay again with our family.

  • "The facilities at this place are amazing!"

The owners have thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need from a washing machine including a handful of tablets, complimentary soaps, body lotions, umbrellas, a potato peeler to a Tupperware box. The list goes on. The lodge is beautiful, a true home from home, thoroughly cleaned and so tranquil. Despite witnessing some of the worst floods ever in the area during our stay and numerous road closures we managed to fill each day with something. There are many places a short drive away which are worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed walks around The Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat and Puzzle Wood. Finally, it must be said any time spent in the hot tub was such a luxury and so relaxing. On a clear night the stars were so clear. Well worth a booking.

The fishing was great too. One day the only person fishing on the lake was me. Wonderful. I used the hot tub a few times and enjoyed this very much.
