The house was perfect for a weekend away with friends. There was so much space, loads of parking, the kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were all of a good size. There was plenty of dining space and comfortable sofas and chairs. The hot tub was such a bonus and lovely to relax in st the end of the day. The property was in easy reach of amenities and local attractions. Just perfect!

Our particular highlights were the well equipped kitchen, confortable beds and the hot tub !! The views around the cottage and farm are spectacular.

Christine and Peter are really responsive and super friendly. The information provided before you arrive is really interesting and useful and helped guide us on our days out. The home is spacious and comfortable, the outside area is lovely, the hot tub was a hit with the people and the large field at the back of the property was a huge hit with the dog!! It’s remote, only the sheep and cows as neighbours but close enough to the village shop and some lovely pubs. Thank you!!

  • "Beautiful farmhouse in a great rural location."

We loved Meadowfields, it has been renovated and furnished to a really high standard, its cosy but large, clean and really well kitted out with plenty of nice towels, great quality bedding and lots of kitchen equipment. The location has that lovely rural feeling but its close to several towns and a village with a shop. We were unlucky with the rain, but if not the walking potential from the doorstep would be great. Its also very dog friendly with an enclosed garden/field and lots of dog bits and bobs such as leads, bags, dog bowl etc left so thoughtfully by the owners. Peter and Christine were so responsive and kind to us, Peter even popped over with a firelighter when we stupidly could not find it in the house (it was there all along as it turned out). Highly recommend this cottage , we will be back for sure.

Hi Caroline. So glad to read that you enjoyed Meadowfields we do feel its rather special but recognise we might be slightly biased After many years of self catering holidays ourselves we fitted it out to the level we would like to stay in - with as many bits and bibs that we could think of. • "We all had a wonderful time at Meadowfields, the magnificent property inside and outside was perfect for us."

Wide open views as far as the eye can see with the added bonus of a proper, private good sized hot tub. Probably the best Holiday Let we have used over the years for our scattered family. We tend to choose an interesting detached property with a hot tub anywhere in the UK. Our ventures out; overall The Plough Inn excellent,a real find.Personally this would be my daily visit. Very busy, hard working staff at £10 fixed price for main but pay £2 extra for massive dessert choice. Favourites; steak and the hamburgers but the mexican dish with what seemed like onion gravy in place of spice not so good. Mexican without heat doesn't work for me. However,no implied service charges of plus 10% already printed on your bill like at Pierres in Kidderminster 200 quid for a lunch will be a one off. Pleasant staff and venue, food good said everyone. Only me moaning. Next The Forester was reasonably priced but dry food was disappointing. Good beers and pleasant staff, nice interior. Outside could do with a repaint and brush up. 4 in a bed award must have been a long time ago. There were many places and facilities we didn't have time to visit. For all the family a visit to nearby Wyre Forrest, a huge area with very good facilities £4 per 2 hours parking. Safari was just ok. Very busy with lots of young happy children but not too much for adults to see in my opinion. Quite expensive with added costs as visitors proceed. The Brians Butchers sarnies best ever. Shopping for a large family at Tescos in Kidderminster. A town of two halves. Tescos area we found a pleasant look around as was the working canal leading to church views. Overall a great experience of country living and wonderful property in a different part of the UK away from overlooked overcrowded home life in cities. We were lucky to have good weather throughout our stay, mainly sun and cloud, always warm and no rain. Although we like to see all corners of UK we would like to be able to revisit Meadowfields. Finally a big shout out to our hosts Christine and Peter who ensured everything went well for our stay. Thank you. Brian and family of Aberdeen,Durham and London. It was perfect for our family of 8 adults, 2 children (3&5yrs) and 2 (large) dogs. The house was very clean and well-maintained. It had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen (even had child plates/mugs) which allowed us to cook several large family meals, eaten at the dining table in a comfortable lounge area. The grounds were well-maintained and with good weather we were able to site outside most of the day, some of us in the hot-tub and dogs in the enclosed field at the rear. We could not have asked for anywhere better.

Unfortunately my mother is allergic to dogs and she wasn't notified that there were dogs in this property prior to our stay, there were still dog hairs under the sofa and whilst I understand that this is a dog friendly environment I wish we were notified so we could have taken prior precautions. For this I only decreased the rating from a perfect 10 to a 9. The hot-tub was really nice and one of of the days we had an adventure through a couple of the paths and ended up on a neighbouring farm. On the first night the hot tub wasn't the hottest but it got warmer throughout the weekend. Thanks for a fab weekend we all did have a blast and we would 100% recommend it to others

Dear Nehal, I am so sorry to hear that your mother is allergic to dogs, we had no idea, and I hope that she was able to find some relief. Thank you for the comments regarding dog hairs under the sofa. We have spoken with our cleaning team who were training some new cleaners up on that occasion, so hopefully this won't happen again. With all of this, it sounds as though you managed to enjoy your stay with us, you certainly all looked happy when we saw you walking the footpaths. Thank you for choosing Meadowfields. It had lovely small touches, very clean, The only criticism we would have was the size of the hot tub as we were a big group. It could fit 4/5 people only and there were only two toilets. We were a big group (10) so made it difficult in the morning and bedtime. There was only one downstairs with only one bedroom all the other bedrooms (3) were upstairs with only one bathroom. Otherwise a lovely stay, lovely surrounding for walks and friendly hosts.

Hi Taraneh, So glad you and your party enjoyed your stay with us, I must say that you did all look very happy when we saw you walking the ffootpaths. When setting up we took advice on the hot tub size, one of the considerations with a much larger tub, other than the cost of the initial tub, is the ongoing cost of electric and water. As a new set up we didn't want to make an additional charge for the use of the tub as some self catering places do and I am sorry, that the size wasn't everything you were hoping for. Like many self catering places we can only provide bathroom and bedroom facilities that house is able to accommodate. Many of our guests appreciate having 1 downstairs bedroom and 4 upstairs.
