  • "Daisy Cottage is located off the beaten track, luckily the red and cream postboxes are a sign that you have reached the right lane :) Beautiful surroundings, with sheep and horses as neighbours as well as Sue and Dave, of course!"

It was so peaceful and all you could hear was the wildlife. The cottage itself is lovely and really comfortable, with Sue's pretty watercolours adorning the walls. We had 3 dogs with us but the cottage was really practical to clean up after the muddy dogs came bowling in! Thank you to Sue and Dave for letting us use the horse paddock to run the dogs, we appreciated that a lot! We highly recommend this warm, comfortable, pretty cottage. We will be back next year.

  • "What a beautiful well presented and well equipped cottage in a wonderful location."

We stay regularly in rented cottages for both short and long breaks and I have to say that Daisy Cottage is the cleanest cottage we have ever used. The owner Sue greeted us on arrival and was very helpful with anything we asked. If you are thinking about booking a cottage in this area then look no further because you will not find better than Daisy Cottage.

No bin liners, no tongs for bbq /grill, no kitchen scissors and no phone numbers in the info book for local pubs and restaurants. Other than that, it is a very comfy cottage, set within a very peaceful setting. Was clean and tidy with very comfortable beds and good WiFi etc.

  • "We are a couple, David & Marion Constable from Norwich, aged 67 and 73 respectively."

We have stayed in many cottages over the years (four or five each year). This ranks as one of the best. We walked in, Marion looked around, chose the upstairs bedroom and pronounced immediately that she would "come here again". That in itself was a first! True it is very rural, which we quite like, and it is not a wizzy, modern, contemporary, up-the-latest-fashion-property (which doesn't bother us anyway) BUT it is EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND WELL EQUIPPED. Everything you need is there, is in good working condition ... oh, and did I mention the comfort? The beds are wonderful. Bearing in mind Marion has a spinal issue, she slept really well and had no aching from her spinal stenosis. The sofas are also comfortable (not sagging like so many do). It is just as well I sat on the shorter of the two in the evenings or else I would have been asleep all night! Sue and Dave are perfect hosts. I only had to ask about ramping up the hot water earlier in the day for Marion's bath (we are early risers) and Dave was in there immediately re-programming it for us. The welcome pack was lovely and added a nice finishing touch to an already very good property. We had no issues with a low slung car that some have previously mentioned. I simply put side up on the rise in the middle of the track, and hey presto! No problem! We did not find opening and closing two gates irksome either - meant we got to say hello to the young bullocks. Their horse is friendly and the sheep seem relatively used to dogs (albeit on leads obviously) and their daughter has a lovely young Dalmatian pup. The surroundings are lovely. Birdsong in abundance and the walking, once you find the paths are quite good. I crossed the flower meadow, through the two gates at the top end to pass back up to the lane parallel to the track that leads to the house, crossed the lane onto a long drive which in turn leads to some good walking. The area around is lovely and there is good access to a variety of towns both large and small. Worcester, Tenbury Wells, Ludlow etc. all worth a visit. We do not travel far to visit places, but we have previously been to Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Hereford and they again are, in our view, worth visiting. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and like so many before us, we shall be back!

There are amazing views from every room. The cottage is extremely well equipped. A lovely welcome pack on arrival. Without doubt, the comfiest beds and sofas of any holiday cottage we have stayed in. The garden is very secure for dogs which gave peace of mind. Dave and Sue are fantastic hosts and it was lovely to know they were on hand if needed. Perfect location for visiting National Trust and English Heritage sites. We will definitely return. Daisy Cottage was an absolute delight.

We had hoped to do some night photography of the starts, but unfortunately the clouds would not be kind to us. But that is just another reason to return, and we will. Everything from the wonderful comfy beds and bedding to the home made marmalade made this a trip to be remembered.

  • "What an amazing find!"

One of the nicest holiday homes we have ever stayed in. We have a teenage daughter who had the entire upstairs (east wing) to herself which worked so well. Really Dog friendly.....we went in October so Dog got a little bit muddy on his walks but having a utility room to dry/ clean him off which was so handy. The entire layout of the place is so well thought out and lovely and clean....the owners are in an adjoining property which might put some holiday makers off but we didn't see them once, they are very discreet and actually knowing they was on site was a massive plus rather then a negative. It's far far away from any main roads so no traffic noise, absolute bliss! - Only small draw back was the 3 gates which needed to be opened when you enter and leave the property but the compromise if well worth it for the peace and quiet of the place. Will 100% return.......

Although you had to open 3 gates to get to the accommodation it was no hassle as I am the driver my husband was delegated to open the gates. The owners were next door but you had the feeling you were detached and the garden was very suitable for a dog. I chose this property as it looked very welcoming and it was. The road to the property was easy to negotiate and very central to the places we wished to visit. Being members of the National Trust and English Heritage there were plenty of places to visit and I also booked a private compartment on the Severn Valley Railway. I would highly recommend this property if you wish to stay in this area.

  • "Daisy Cottage is a fabulous place to stay and unwind."

Owners were very accommodating to the humans and dogs. Our two golden retrievers loved their top field to run around in, the field has a stock fence so they can't get at the sheep or horses in the neighbouring feilds. We did lots of walking from the accommodation but would warn dog owners that the stiles in the area are not that user friendly for dogs over. Don't be put off by the two local pubs they are fine for drinking in but if you venture further afield there are nicer ones down in Tenbury Wells that do really good food. Ironbridge is worth a trip out too and the safari park is a must for families with children.
