  • "Just got back from our stay at Shepherd Hut."

The hut is absolutely fabulous and the views amazing. Des the owner met us on the day of arrival and was very helpful and nothing was a problem. The hut is immaculate with everything you need. We chose to eat out in the evenings at local pubs but had a cooked breakfast every morning. We took our dog Bella with us and she enjoyed running around the fields while we relaxed with a glass of wine. I can’t recommend this hut enough it is just so private and relaxing. Will definitely be back for another visit.

  • "We have stayed in a few Shepherds hugs and most have been very nice, but the Shepherds retreat TOPS THE LOT!"

It is a lovely place to stay and relax, so well thought out, Farmer Des came over to give us our keys and show us around and he was the loveliest man. The hut is super comfy, from the lovely. Armchairs ( seating is normally a bit of an issue in huts) to the restored bed from 1857!, everything has been thought about, great use of space,,everything you need is there. The hut has a large decking to the front, with ramp and step access, a really nice fully enclosed garden, so you don't have to worry about your dog wandering off, as well as at least 3 large fields you have access to straight from the gate by the decking. There are 2 small sheds one with kit for the chiminea and some extra chairs and loungers in and the other with hanging space for clothes, coats ,boots and bikes if you want ( there is also an ironing board and iron in there) and finally THE VIEWS !! ......did I mention the views! you can sit on the deck and look out over 4 counties, plenty of wildlife about as well. Not often I say this but 10 out of 10, a lovely place owned by lovely people, will definitely come back for another stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Shepherds Retreat, we are so pleased that you enjoyed you're stay, and we look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

It is situated to give spectacular views of the local countryside, offering a panoramic sweep across several counties. It offers easy access to nearby Ludlow, Clee Hill summit and a range of walks and small market towns and villages. The owners go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable and have everything you need, spare the time to chat and offer guidance on places to go and things to see. A charming, bijou retreat which is cosy for all its smallness: I had a wonderful week and am sure I will return.
