  • "This holiday property was perfect for the two of us and our dog."

We were welcomed by Elaine, the owner, and she had supplied refreshments and cake. Ash Barn is very well equipped, modern and clean. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable as was the sofa. Very good Wi-Fi and TV. We were enjoyed sitting outside and our dog loved the large lawned garden. There is no traffic noise, only birdsong to be heard. We had a very happy holiday and would love to stay there again.

  • "Exceeded our expectations."

Everything we could have needed and more. The Super Kingsize bed was unexpected. We had thought it might be a double, so to find we had the same size bed as our own, and it was super comfortable, it made everything perfect. We will most certainly be back and will recommend others.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Ash Barn, lovely quiet location, just the occasional noise from farm animals to be expected."

Owners very friendly and welcoming. As pointed out by Elaine the patio doors were sometimes difficult to close and need to be re-aligning. The frying pan and oven tray have been well used and would benefit from new ones. Everything else was perfectly fine and we would be more than happy to stay here again. Our elderly dog who is nearly 18 yrs old absolutely loved being at Ash Barn. Many thanks.

  • "Booked this delightful barn as a last minute break and what a find!"

If you need peace and quiet, open countryside as far as you can see and hear nothing but cows, sheep and birds then this is it. Super dog friendly holiday and plenty of places to visit. Local pubs also excellent. I noticed a poor review regarding dogs barking. Well, this is a dog friendly place and we and our neighbours both had our dog with us. The first night in a strange place is always difficult so when dogs barking in the distance disturbed us all, and both our pups joined in, it was a nuisance but it didn't happen again! Highly recommend this idyllic setting, thank you Elaine for your beautiful, comfy accommodation,

  • "We have always been completely happy until this stay."

owner is, as before, very pleasant host. Whilst the daytime is very peaceful, which is what we love, the nighttime was not. We presume , guard dogs , barked many times during the night, we got up,made tea, etc. Having had this every night, we had sleep deprivation. Especially the last night counted 6 times, by 5.30am, when we decided to pack and leave. We booked both barns, having recommended the barn to friends, who also wanted peace and quiet, so this became very embarrassing for us. Our friends loved the barn and the area, but will not return again.. Having discussed this problem with the owner she is not able to say that this is a one off, but obviously a permanent situation. We are very upset, at having , what was in many ways, a perfect week, ruined, and future stays impossible. I would request a reply to this please.Your comments required.

  • "Elaine was friendly and welcoming."

Ash Barn, on a working farm, is in a wonderful and quiet location with superb views across the Northamptonshire countryside. Ash Barn is well furnished, lovely and clean, fully equipped and with a comfortable bed. We were attending Silverstone for the British GP and as the weekend consisted of early mornings and long days, Ash Barn was perfect for calm, quiet and relaxation at the end of each day. If we had one tiny comment to make, it would be that we had not realised that Ash Barn was one of two accommodations next to each other (the original farm barn having presumably been divided in two on conversion). This, of course, is not an issue however we did notice that the wall between the two accommodations must have been quite thin as we could hear the other occupants' television word for word and even some of their conversation; presumably they could hear the same from us. However, this is a minor thing and was only an issue as we were very tired each evening and wanted to go to sleep early. It would certainly not stop us staying at the accommodation again and I would reiterate that it was a wonderful place to stay ..... Thank you Elaine x

The farm it was in was just lovely and made our stay that much nicer. The cottage was just lovely very cosy and wonderfully decorated. Elaine the owner was so welcoming and approachable the whole experience made us sad to leave. We can't wait to rebook. The cake on arrival was a really nice touch and we will definitely be visiting again

Elaine was the perfect host and me and my boy were made to feel very welcome. The barn and views are even nicer than the photos show and there were many places to explore with my boy that weren’t too far away. I would highly recommend this as a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful, countryside break.

....knowing that the owner agrees with us. Having to pay virtually for 2wks, if wanting to change one day, from a FRIDAY/Friday. We obviously did not do this, and would have chosen another Company , but having stayed at this barn before, and wanted that area.
