The property

Farm View Annex rests in the picturesque village of Painswick, offering a charming and well-presented retreat ideal for couples looking to unwind in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Stepping inside, guests are greeted by a spacious ground-floor king-size bedroom, creating a calm and comfortable setting for a good night’s rest after a day spent exploring the surrounding countryside.

A stylish bathroom featuring a bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC also sits on this level, adding practicality and comfort to your stay.

Head upstairs and you’ll discover the bright open-plan living space, where the kitchen, dining and sitting areas combine to form a relaxed and sociable environment.

It’s a lovely spot to ease into the morning with a coffee or settle down in the evening after a day outdoors.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob and a fridge to cover the essentials, while the sitting area features a Smart TV and WiFi for a little entertainment at the end of the day.

Gas central heating ensures the space stays cosy, and thoughtful touches such as a travel cot, available on request, add a little extra convenience.

Outside you have free range of the owners grounds, with a separate seating area for guests' use, in a position where you can make the most of stunning views out across the valley towards Sheepscombe and beyond.

Unusually for a farm you are only a short stroll from the centre of the village, so while you are here take the opportunity to explore this incredibly pretty village; possibly best known for the Rococo Gardens, and the Yew trees in the historic churchyard of St Mary's with its folklores to discover.

If you are feeling slightly more energetic, then take a walk up to Painswick Beacon to enjoy the magnificent scenery, or wander to the tiny hamlet of Sheepscombe and visit the renowned Butcher's Arms pub and sample some traditional 'pub grub'!

If a spot of retail therapy is more your thing, then the gorgeous town of Cheltenham - claimed to be the most complete Regency town in England - is only ten miles away.

The lively market town of Stroud is within easy reach, known for its independent shops and thriving food scene, while the historic city of Gloucester offers impressive cathedral architecture and waterside attractions at Gloucester Docks.

For a touch of Regency elegance, Cheltenham also lies within driving distance.

Surrounded by rolling hills and scenic walking routes, Farm View Annex makes a wonderful base for discovering the timeless beauty of the Cotswolds.

This property can be booked with Proprty ID 1069818 Farm View Lodge to accommodate 6 guests

PAINSWICK

Stroud 4 miles; Gloucester 7 miles; Cheltenham 10 miles.

Painswick, located only 10 miles from Cheltenham, is a town and civil parish in Gloucestershire. The town originated from the wool trade, but is now best known for its parish church’s yew trees and the local Rococo Garden. The village is mainly constructed of locally quarried Cotswold Stone. It stands on a hill in the Stroud district which overlooks one of the Five Valleys and is halfway along the Cotswolds Way National Trail. It is home to a cricket and rugby team and has a popular golf course on the outskirts of the town. There is a local pub The Royal Oak which offer real ales, real fires and a courtyard. Opposite the pub is a well-stocked village shop. A twenty minute walk from the village is the Painswick Beacon which affords vast views across Gloucester to the River Severn and the Malvern Hills. The Painswick Centre hosts many events and exhibitions and is home to the ACP Gallery. Painswick is 4 miles north of Stroud and 2 miles northwest of Slad – home of Laurie Lee, author of “Cider with Rosie”.
