"We had a wonderful stay at Humphreston House with our two young children."
It’s a very large and beautiful house with lots of period features. Very peaceful location despite being near the main road (can’t hear anything from the property). The children loved playing in the garden and with Jess the dog. Was super comfortable and clean with well-equipped kitchen and facilities. Ann and Les were very friendly and responsive hosts who went out of their way to help with extending our booking (complicated by Sykes IT system not catering for this via Abnb bookings). Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area!
Thank you for your review and I’m delighted you had such a good time here. It was a pleasure to meet you all.
We do feel a map does us no justice! It is quieter than you’d think in the property and especially in the garden given our location.
We like our guests to have everything they need and we leave a note to that effect so guests can contact us. Thanks again. Ann

"We had a wonderful week at Humphreston House."
Ann was there to welcome us and we stayed in contact throughout the week. The house is gorgeous and we all felt at home there straightaway. We made the most of the terrace and garden, lovely setting, weather was a bonus but we would have been outside regardless. My grandsons loved meeting and playing with Jess, they are still talking about her now. The location is very central, we visited Wells, Bristol Zoo, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, all within easy distance. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Humphreston House. We would all hope to return there. Linda
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure having you all here and Jess really enjoyed playing with the boys. You are welcome back any time! Ann

"We had a wonderful stay at Humphreston House."
It is a lovely property in a fantastic location, loads to do within an hour's drive.
The owners were great; we had a minor issue with a beeping fire alarm and they popped around the same morning to sort it out.
It was great to meet you all and your family. Not forgetting the adorable Albie! Such a beautiful dog. We do feel our location is central to so many days out and I’m glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Ann x

"Humphreston House is a lovely, quirky, period property with plenty of space for large groups."
Being just 10 miles south of Bristol it is superbly placed for Bristol itself, Bath, Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar gorge. All in all the property was everything I hoped it would be.
Thank you so much for your review Mr Bailey it’s very much appreciated. We do feel our location is ideal to reach so many interesting places!
Our guest feedback is very important to us and we would like to follow up on the listing not being fully accurate so that we can get Sykes to put that right. Please contact me and let me know.
Also the comfort of the house is key so if there’s anything we can do to improve that we will. Again please contact me and I will sort it out.
Thanks again and I’m so pleased you had a good time here! Ann

Perfect for a stay with a group. Very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. We'll equipped kitchen with a welcome pack left by the host, which was a lovely touch. A beautiful sitting room. We had a great time meeting up with a group of friends. Plus there is a great bus service /stop right outside the property.
Thank you so much for your kind words and it was great to meet you. It’s so good that you made use of the bus as we use it all the time to go to Bristol, Bath and Wells.
We have already implemented the useful feedback you gave us during your stay.

"What a fabulous house."
We enjoyed a four night family holiday visiting Bristol. The house was everything we hoped for. So conveniently located on the road to Bristol or Bath but so quiet inside. The bus stop was literally outside the door so we didn’t use the car at all. We loved all the quirky things in the house - highly recommend it!
Thank you so much for this great review and your feedback while you were here. So glad you enjoyed your stay. I have already actioned your suggestions!! Ann x

"A comfortable stay at an amazing property that is well located for many activities."
The welcome pack was a great touch. An impressive array of books.
We loved the decor, though the second floor and third floor shower room(no bath) was challenging for our little ones. The garden was interesting but too open to let children free roam or the dog off lead.
Overall a brilliant holiday
Hello Mr Lee and sorry for my tardy response but I wanted to make sure we had implemented changes before replying. We took your feedback very seriously and have reorganised fencing in the garden to create an enclosed area. We have also got someone to bring the bath back into use! I understand how difficult it can be not to have a bath. Thank you for bringing both to our attention.
I have also liaised with Sykes to ensure the description is fully accurate. Best wishes, Ann.

"Humphreston House is a lovely place to stay."
Handy for attractions such as Cheddar and Longleat, Bath and Bristol. The house is well equipped with plenty of space and a lovely garden. Ann and her family (the owners - live next door) are lovely in case you need any advice. My fitness levels are great now thanks to those stairs !!
Thank you for such a lovely review and you’re very welcome on the fitness level! . It’s good to have guest feedback too and we do listen. One potato masher on its way. It was great to have you here even if the weather was a little changeable. You got some sunny days and I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. Ann x
