"A beautiful period property immaculately clean and well maintained."
A generous welcome basket and stocked with condiments, tea, cofee etc. It was a pleasure to stay in such a pleasant property. Extremely quiet and no disturbances as set well back from a quiet road.

"The house is in lovely scenic and peaceful surrounding, with amazing local walks."
The house itself, from the outside is just wow, a beautiful grade listed building. Inside is just as beautiful and was immacuately clean. The kitchen could be better stocked, such as having, pint glasses, champagne flutes, bigger pots and bowls, my husband loves cooking when we go away. The only reason I down-graded the comfort element, was for the mattress on the bed, in the main room, it needs a new 1, we didn't sleep well because of it. I know this may be an expensive cost but catching up on your sleep, when you're away, is so important, especially to me and my husband. Other than my suggestions, it was a beautiful home for a week, perfect location, for peace and tranquility, walks and links to some 'chocolate box' villages.
Dear Kathy
I am so sorry you found the bed uncomfortable this is surprising as the bed was purchased new last year when we renovated the cottage. Thank you for your other comments. We obviously can't provide for every type of kitchen utensil but we supply a comprehensive array for most guests needs & have had previous comments about our well stocked kitchen!
Best wishes

"Beautiful historic house with nowadays IKEA Style furniture mainly, absolutely comfy."
Kitchen equipped but not for the ambitious cook, which could not be expected. Modern bath, elegantly equipped with shower and bathtub. Beautiful view from the cottage, pheasants on the lawn. Ancient medieval church directly beside, original beautiful arts and craft glass windows there . Access to the cottage through churchyard, if you arrive at night a bit spooky without light, but as we used the mobile phone as a torch quite feasible. Still a but difficult to find, because satnav misleads if you enter the address, it actually says so in the description that should be read before arrival (we didn't...). Reachable only on foot but luggage can be unloaded some 50 m away. Landlady very nice and friendly, willing to help if necessary.

"The Alms House East is a lovely, cosy cottage in an idyllic setting."
It was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything was as it should be, and the woodburner was lovely (although the cottage was centrally heated and warm).
We would certainly book again.

The small details were all thought of, with everything we needed including a highchair and travel cot which is a huge bonus to save us travelling with them!
The property was immaculate, with comfy beds, all kitchen and bathroom amenities and presented beautifully throughout.
We would highly recommend The Alms and will definitely be back!

It was a great space with outdoor furniture to take advantage of the beautiful weather. The dogs loved it too. "Lovely property, would definitely come back again, great communication from the owner."
Only improvements would be a tv in the bedrooms, and missed having an upstairs toilet, but apart from that it’s a stunning property, great location, and highly recommend.

"Absolutely, loved our stay here."
The peace and tranquility was second to none. Short drive into Tewksbury with lots on offer there. Plenty to see and do on days out to nearby towns and sights. But also a great spot to doing nothing and getting away from it all.

"We had a lovely enjoyable stay at The Alms House East."
We booked a very last minute stay and the owner contacted us straight away to ensure our requirements would be met. The Alms house is so lovely and quiet with the most amazing views. We loved sitting in the garden listening to the birds in the very sunny evenings we were lucky enough to have!
We had a lovely little hamper on arrival and really appreciated some milk in the fridge after a long drive.
There is a Morrisons supermarket about an 8 minute drive and some nice pubs around the area. We visited the Malvern Hills, Crikely Hill and explored Broadway and Bourton-on-the-water. On our way back to Essex we stopped at the Cotswolds wildlife park and gardens with is a lovely dog friendly day out!

"We had such a lovely weekend away at the cottage."
It's perfectly situated to enjoy the surrounding areas of both the Malverns Hills and the Cotswolds. The house itself was perfect for our couples get away and catching up with friends, along with our two dogs. We loved having the log burner on which was perfect after the chilly winter walks. Already recommended this stay to my parents and would happily come and stay again. Thanks for having us!

The description of the driveway is accurate and I found it best to just to park at the bottom and walk the bags up to the cottage, it was good exercise !
The welcome basket with the delicious fresh coffee and biscuits was a lovely surprise. The kitchen and the cottage in general is really well equipped making the stay really like a home from home.
The living room is s cozy and snuggly with the log burner lit, I think we all dozed off at some point in front of it !
We loved every minute of our stay and I would like to go back again. It really was very peaceful and a great location to explore Twekesbury and also Eastnor castle.
