    Spotlessly clean and well equipped, also very peaceful. The garden was enclosed and safe for our dogs Roger and Betty, plus the added bonus of the secure field for them to run in. Lots of towns to visit nearby, Upton, Ludlow, Ross on Wye. We highly recommend. Jane and Mervyn

  • "A great location with good access to superb walks & places to visit."

    We took 2 dogs & the enclosed garden was a good space for them to access direct fron the property. A well equipped kitchen, made self catering. easy. A perfect rural retreat to hopefully return to.

  • "Another lovely stay."

    We have stayed at different accommodations on this site for a number of years. They are all comfortable and well equipped with good quality utensils in the kitchen. It is very peaceful with lots of wildlife. We enjoy an evening stroll down the local lane listening to the wildlife. We do several 5-8mile walks from the accommodation and several walks a short drive away including British Camp, Hollybush, Colwall and Upton on Severn.

  • "We enjoyed our stay the weather could have been better."

    Plenty of walking areas but not for pensioners. The owners were very helpful. Nearest shop was a drive away. Upton on Seven was the best place . There was a small garden at the back of the cottage with table and chairs nice to sit out when the weather is .OK.

    The owner was very kind,helpful and friendly. Cottage very clean. Everything you needed. Like home from home. Great dog friendly cottage and grounds. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Would 100% return next year.

    Cottage was immaculately clean and everything supplied for a comfortable stay. Dogs just loved the garden, and were welcomed with 2 bowls of fresh water. We will definitely return.

  • "We loved this place!"

    So peaceful and relaxing, our little dog loved the garden, as did we, watching the birds coming to the feeder. The only thing we felt was lacking was a couple of garden chairs to relax in, as the stone benches at the table got incredibly hot in the sunshine, and weren't too comfortable for any length of time. Beautiful countryside, walks, places to visit and relaxing....we would love to return! Thank you

  • "Swallows nest was a perfect stay for us and our two dogs, Betty and Roger."

    The cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped , and the garden was secure. The owners were very friendly and on hand for any problems, but not intrusive. An added bonus was the secure field to let the dogs run free, and an easy walk across a field to the Plume of Feathers Pub. We highly recommend Swallows Nest and will definitely be coming back next year. Jane & Mervyn

  • "Very well appointed, specially in the kitchen."

    A lovely touch was the quaint homemade bird table and bird feeders visible from the living room. The owners were helpful and friendly and left us in peace. Will be happy to visit again. Great place for dogs.

  • "Really nice place to stay , and great hosts ."

    Close to local pubs and shop and short drive to Upton on Severn . Only thing I’d improve or look at would be the water pressure in the shower and I’d replace the settees too small and hard .

  • "Booked a last minute break to Swallows Nest and we were really impressed with the property."

    It was clean, had everything we needed and was warm and cosy. The location is quiet and peaceful, the only noise at night was an owl hooting! A lovely little place, perfect for two, with a good enclosed garden for the dog, and a handy field to let them off lead in.

  • "The Swallows Nest was fantastic, really well situated for a lovely peaceful holiday and so dog friendly, a private garden and also the choice to use a fully enclosed field where dogs are safe to be let off lead."

    The lodge itself was very clean, furnished to a high standard and very comfortable in fact so much so we stayed for an extra week. Myself, My Husband and Molly our pointer cross enjoyed a wonderful fortnight and would highly recommend the Swallows Nest.

The thriving village of Welland lies south east of the magnificent Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, with a Post Office, village shop and its very own family-run vineyard, producing award-winning wines which can be purchased directly from the owners. Castlemorton Common provides many lovely walk and cycle rides, part of which is a designated SSSI due to its vast array of wildlife, flora and fauna. The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the hills form a nine mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fishing and river cruises are available nearby and there are National Trust properties and gardens to visit in the area. Malvern has many individual shops, cafes, art galleries and restaurants, a luxurious spa, and is also home to the Three Counties Showground. Malvern is the home of the Morgan car, which makes this area popular with enthusiasts. The pretty town of Upton upon Severn lies on the banks of the River Severn and boasts a variety of delightful 17th century buildings and attractive shops, including The Pudding Shop, traditional inns and cafes and its very own museum. It also plays host to many annual festivals, including Jazz, Folk and Blues Festivals, as well as the Sunshine Music Festival.
