"An extremely beautiful house which was very clean and large."
The only minor negative point was that the wifi range was limited to the downstairs only.
Would definitely visit again.

"A fabulous house, very comfortable, modern and bright."
The house was dog friendly but the village eateries weren’t which was a shame. Would definitely recommend this property though, it was a great house.

"We have stayed in many Skykes cottages/houses in Ireland over the years and this was by far the best."
The standard to which this house has been finished was exceptional, very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The host was very friendly and helpful.
The beds were very comfortable, and the showers were brilliant, there has been no expense spared.
It was very close to the town(5 minutes walk) where there was a good selection of pubs with traditional Irish music.
We would stay there again, 5 stars

"The house was amazing and exceeded our expectations."
Mary came to welcome us even though our arrival was delayed due to the ferry. My Husband was the first full time wheelchair user to stay in the house, and because of the wide doors and completely flat floors was able to move around with no problems. We did discuss with Mary that the addition of grab rails around the toilet and in the shower, would make life easier. We did however take our own travel shower/commode chair so managed. Wonderful holiday and we have no hesitation about rebooking. An ideal location to meet up with our family in Co Clare. Thank you Mary , Anne and Steve

"We enjoyed very much staying in this new house with lots of space and a modern decoration."
The property was very clean and is conveniently located for visiting the Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. We found the beds very comfortable. We would have liked a bigger baking tray for the oven and an instruction about recycling.

"A wonderful home from home."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return journey. We were able to bring our dog along and he was happy and safe in the enclosed garden and surrounding area of the house. Immaculate in every way. Comfortable beds and living area. All mod cons.

"This has to be one of the most appealing and spacious holiday lets we've stayed in."
Bright and airy, with all mod cons. The boiler for the heat pump was in the bedroom we stayed in so could hear it humming when water in use. Only one problem we encountered on our last day the showers both upstairs and downstairs were in use and both stopped working whilst in use, creating a bit of a problem. The hob took ages to heat up, clearer instructions on usage might be required for future hirers.

"Having stayed in self-catering accommodation for over 30 years, this house topped them all."
The property was only completed 12 months ago and is finished to a very high standard. The appliances are of the best quality and the furnishings very comfortable. Tastefully decorated inside and out, the property is second to none in an excellent location 5 minutes walk to the village of Corrofin. The owners James & Mary who live close by, were the perfect hosts and informed us of all the places to visit.
Anyone who stays in this property will not be disappointed.

"Thanks for providing a lovely home for the week of our stay."
The facilities and decor are all of a good standard and it was great space to explore from. Some small feedback for the ground floor amenities, an addition of a handrail would be helpful in the shower room. To help those who have mobility issues which your property is of such benefit for,

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Teach De Barra and the house was just fabulous."
It's new and modern and has everything you need. It was very spacious for our family of 4 and made a welcome change from the other tiny accommodations we'd stayed at previously. The location was perfect to explore all County Clare has to offer and a short drive into Ennis. Mary and James were delightful hosts. Would highly recommend staying at Teach De Barra.

Fantastic location just a short drive from the coast and 10 minutes to most of the burren, a lovely town within walking distance, the house itself is spacious and warm, I honestly have nothing bad to say about teach de barra it was a fantastic trip overall and the hosts could not have been more helpful, 10/10

"Teach De Barra is a beautiful house situated in the heart of County Clare."
The pictures don't do the property justice, from the spacious living room with reclining sofa and chairs and smart tv, to the comfortable bedrooms and both bathrooms with shower facilities. The downstairs of the property, including bathroom and bedroom, would be totally suited to people with mobility issues. There is ample of road parking and a lovely little terrace with seating to the rear.
Corofin village is a 5 minute walk, with several bars and places to eat. There are 2 convenience stores stocking most things you might need but for shopping the town of Ennis is around 15 minutes drive.
I would recommend a trips to the Cliffs of Kilkee, The Burren (a Unesco World Heritage site) and Ailwee Burren Experience (this includes the cave tour and the Birds of Prey - a fantastic up close experience for big kids and little ones alike!!). There is plenty to do in the surrounding area whether you prefer walking down the beach, walking/hiking, horse riding or visiting castles and other historic places of interest. There is also an added bonus for any Father Ted fans as many outdoor and some indoor scenes were filmed in the area - The Parochial House, The Very Dark Caves and Vaughan's Pub in Kilfenora is a great place with amazing food!
Mary and James are lovely hosts and check in to make sure everything is ok.
Would I recommend Teach De Bara? No! I want to keep this little gem all to myself! If you are undecided about booking, I would say 'Do It', you won't be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again in the future

"Feedback - Teach de Barra, Corofin, Co Clare
Mother always said, ‘keep it simple son’."
So, I will… this Teach De Barra, Corofin is as good as it gets. High quality place, great memories!
Family, grand children, dog, the lot have all just enjoyed an amazing, wonderful week 13-20 August at the magnificent, brand spanking Teach de Barra, Corofin, Co. Clare – literally the gateway (at the front door) over the historic Macken Bridge (River Fergus) to the wind swept Burren limestone landscapes of north Clare, the stunning Cliffs of Moher (25mins) and probably the most spectacular concentration of Neolithic, Bronze Age, medieval tombs, manor houses, keeps & impressive old Gaelic castles anywhere on the island of Ireland. And all in a couple of square miles of lush green, traditional Irish countryside. Even managed to get on to Lahinch Beach 3x times. (18mins)
Walked up the village (12mins) one day to Bofey Quinns for tea (great!). Old architecture is just everywhere. Kids loved the big play park at the local GAA ground (14mins). On another evening, back up the village to the Yellow Submarine (10mins) traditional music night (can’t remember?). What a place!
This detached, big bright, spacious property with its massive kitchen (sporting two large dinning tables) and large living room was just a joy to behold. To the front, across the meadows, the wooded skyline of Clifden Mountain (as lovely in the morning mists) and the evening sunset. To the rear, from the extensive stone patio, again low green fields, old hawthorn hedgerows rolling out to a massive wildlife sanctuary lake, teaming with ducks, geese & swans. This wildlife area carries a Special Area of Conservation SAC EU protective designation & deservedly so. We had a very low fly-by directly over the house from a hunting Golden Eagle mid-week.
With the area clearly steeped in history, local folklore & surrounded by abundant nature, this impressive new luxury property has it all & much more… and of course, is situated in one of the most interesting & beautiful scenic settings in the west of Ireland.
In the evening you can sit outside, lower the lights & in the black-dark with the cooler airflow, its as if the heavens come down to greet you. Twinkling star-spangled skies all around, the constellations & the Milky Way combine to remind you of ‘this very special time & place’ in the mighty universe.
Yes, for sure, as good as it gets, we all loved it & can’t wait to get back. Awesome!

"First Time Letting of this superb new home: We are after coming from the first ever letting of this house after a week long stay here."
Our booking was a very last-minute booking. From the first moment we contacted the hosts, on the afternoon of our stay, they were so accommodating. Nothing was a trouble to them.
From the first minute we entered the property, just wow. We didn't know where next to look. Absolutely amazing. On first sight, everything was so clean, perfect, immaculate and so well kept. There wasn’t a thing to fault. It was all spotless, like showhouse condition. This house should be a five star rating house, as it really is a showpiece.
We are very fussy people and some of us have certain allergies, and well, there was absolutely nothing at all we could fault. If we had to give it 10 out 10, we would be giving it 15 out of 10. It was an incredible house and such a lovely house for a stay.
The only disappointing thing for us was that we couldn’t stay any longer. It was already booked out to extend our stay, but for sure, we would have loved nothing more than to have stayed longer. We are hoping to stay again and hope to in the near future again.
For anyone that is looking for a beautiful house, where the hosts are just so lovely and accommodating, then this is definitely your spot to go. James and Mary were so lovely and genuine and checking to see if we were all ok, during our stay.
Highly highly recommend it and we are just hoping to come back soon. The pictures that you see online are exactly as you see upon entering the house. Every little detail to the house was carefully designed by the hosts and really thought out.
Also, another bonus for people, is that it's walking distance to the local village. For any tourists looking to book a stay here, we know for sure you won't be disappointed. The village has a nice supermarket and some lovely pubs around for food and music. And even though we're Irish, we loved looking out at the cows/cattle across the field every day. (So I know any tourists would love this extra bonus)
As I've said already, we're very fussy people and well this house was well above any of our expectations. Genuinely, you will absolutely love your stay here, if you choose "Teach de Barra". Thanks again to the really welcoming hosts. Rose and family
