Joan, the owner, made us feel very welcome on arrival and made sure she gave us all the information we needed. The house was spacious comfortable and cosy and had all the facilities and equipment you could wish for, including magnificent views. We could not fault it and would fully recommend it to anyone. Reviewed by David5.0★Sep 2023 "We had a great week at Artigallivan, helped partly by the weather, but the house was just perfect for us (7 adults)." Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not feel on top of each other, and the communal areas were big enough for when we all did want to be together. We cooked for ourselves every night and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything that we needed. Great location too, about 10 minutes from Killarney, in the car, in a rural location with lovely views of the surrounding hills and mountains. Reviewed by Susan5.0★Aug 2023 "Thank you to Joan who ensured we were informed how to operate everything at the start of our stay." This house is ten minutes drive from Killarney. Just the perfect distance from the town but close enough to grab a few essentials if required. This lovely house had everything required and so clean. A treasure find. I’m sure we will be back when we next visit Killarney. Reviewed by Gillian5.0★Jul 2023 "The position of the house was excellent with easy access by car to Killarney and facilities." Reviewed by Maura5.0★Apr 2023 "Artigallivan is a wonderful place to stay, with absolutely everything you could need for the perfect holiday." The property itself is tucked away in the beautiful countryside. It is impeccably clean throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped and I enjoyed cooking family meals there most evenings - this being our preferred choice. With the peaceful location, dining area or the patio area (with seating) and the spectacular views of some of the highest mountains in Ireland - who really wants to be stuck inside a restaurant? Saying that on our first night we did visit a lovely pub / restaurant called the Kerry way. It's located approx 5 minutes from the house by car - we had a lovely meal there and a proper pint of Guinness... has to be done! Tesco, Aldi and Lidl are located near Killarney Town centre - approx 4.5 / 5.5 miles away, for all your shopping needs. There are so many things to do whilst here. We went to Ross Castle - out on the lakes (incredibly interesting), kissed the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle - beautiful gardens & alot of history there and Dingle is another beautiful place we visited, amongst many others. Thank you to Joan the owner of Artigallivan for the lovely welcome and for being so helpful and accommodating during our stay. This is without question the cleanest and most comfortable property we have stayed in and over many years. Thank you for making our holiday even better than we anticipated! Reviewed by Paula5.0★Jul 2022 "Lovely cottage and very nice host." A little more isolated than expected but still not too far from Killarney about 10KM so will definitely need a car. Well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Reviewed by Pia4.4★Jun 2022 "Great location 10 minute drive from Killarney and good size property." Views over to the mountains were beautiful and a pleasure to wake up to. Property was clean apart from a few items of crockery - probably due to an inefficient dishwasher. Reviewed by Ben3.8★May 2022 "The listings says the property is on the outskirts of Killarney which implies it is within a short walk of the town which it isnt." It is 10km outside Killarney. Reviewed by Eanna3.4★Aug 2021 "The house was beautiful, very clean and cosy." Perfect for touring Kerry, a real gem . The host Joan was wonderful, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for her, you were made feel very welcome.
