The property

Bungalow Falcarragh is a charming single-storey hideaway resting in the heart of County Donegal, set against a backdrop of dramatic mountains and with wide-reaching views across the Atlantic Ocean.

Tucked at the end of a private driveway, it offers a peaceful sense of seclusion, with a neat garden that’s perfect for stepping outside, breathing in the fresh coastal air, and taking in the ever-changing Donegal skies.

It’s a wonderful setting for families or friends craving space, scenery, and a slower pace.

Step inside and you’re welcomed by a bright, homely living room, where an electric fire and a 50 inch TV with Fire Stick create an inviting spot to settle in after days spent exploring beaches and winding country lanes.

The kitchen is well equipped for easy cooking, and its traditional log-burning stove adds a warm touch of Irish character.

For quieter moments, the conservatory offers a calming retreat, an ideal place to sit with a book, enjoy an unhurried breakfast, or simply admire the views as the light shifts across the landscape.

Three thoughtfully arranged bedrooms provide comfortable options for mixed groups.

There’s a double room with its own en-suite, another double, and a spacious twin, all served by a fresh family bathroom.

Outside, a picnic bench sits to the side of the property, perfectly positioned for soaking up those Atlantic views with morning coffee or an evening meal.

For guests travelling with pets, the four on-site kennels are a rare and welcome bonus, making this a genuinely dog-friendly holiday base.

The nearby village of Falcarragh offers sandy beaches like Drumnatinney Beach, scenic walking routes, craft shops, cafés, and the chance to experience traditional Irish music sessions, especially lively at weekends.

A short drive brings you to Dunfanaghy, where you can try watersports at Killahoey Beach, enjoy coastal horse-riding, tee off at Dunfanaghy Golf Club, or explore local art at the Workhouse Heritage Centre.

Further afield, Glenveagh National Park is one of Donegal’s most spectacular treasures.

Here, you can wander through miles of rugged hiking trails, visit the striking Glenveagh Castle, and explore beautifully kept gardens surrounded by sweeping mountain scenery and peaceful lakes.

Whether you’re drawn by the coastline, the culture, or the dramatic wild beauty Donegal is known for, Bungalow Falcarragh offers a warm, inviting base where you can settle in, slow down, and make the most of this remarkable part of Ireland.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of €350.
