"We chose this property for our family trip to Ireland because of its three bedrooms, vast array of amenities and location, especially its proximity to the city of Newry and, last but not least, its view overlooking the town of Warrenpoint and Carlingford Lough."
By the time we got to 27 Pinewood Hill and settled in for our stay, we were blown away by the exceptional quality of our accommodations. All rooms in 27 pinewood hill including the three bedrooms, bathroom (walk-in shower), half bath and kitchen were immaculately clean and presented. Both the bathroom and kitchen were stocked with enough items to help begin our trip like shower gel, shampoo and conditioner etc in the former and some shelf stable snack and refrigerated items in the latter. The kitchen also came equipped with the typical appliances as well as extras like an immersion blender and rice cooker (in the utility room). My mother in law wanted to make a cake for my son’s birthday and, although there was a hand mixer, we could not locate the attachments. 27 pinewood hill also has a washing machine in the utility room but the tumble dryer is located in a shed outside in the backyard. Towards the end of the stay the dryer door was becoming difficult to close due to a loose attachment (the caretaker was informed). The property is also within a five minute walk of Warrenpoint town centre, which has a Eurospar supermarket, smaller convenience stores, pubs, local food and coffee shop business owners, a public park as well as the front shore facing on to carlingford lough. Deirdre, the caretaker, was also a pleasure with which to be in communication. We called Deirdre before our stay to ask a few questions about our accommodations and to get the code for the keyboard. Deirdre was very informative about the property and, while she did not guarantee an early check in, she did say that it was a possibility given that the property wasn’t occupied immediately before our stay. After we got to the property, Deirdre reached out to us within 24 hours to make sure we had settled in okay and explained how to adjust the water heater and heating and cooling. The checkout process was easy, overall, but the information shared by Sykes in the departure email was unclear regarding the cleanup of the property, particularly bedlinen and towels etc.
Overall, our stay at 27 pinewood hill was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again during a future return trip.

"Beautiful cottage and beautiful views!"
We visited Newry for Christmas holidays and cottage was festive decorated and my kids loved it.
Lots of cutleries, dishes and spacious dining and living area. Loved the place.
Hospitality wise- house owner was really nice and checked on us as we were arriving quite late at the cottage. Really appreciated it!
My only drawback was that it had one bathroom and the other one was just toilet. Being a family of 4, my first filter on search is usually 2 bathrooms.

"We had a wonderful stay at this property."
It has a great location with lovely views of the town and Carlingford Lough. It is conveniently situated with easy access to the town. The rooms are spacious and well laid out with comfortable furniture. Everything we needed was there. If we had a wish list it would be to add a smart tv so that we could watch netflix etc. We missed having an ensuite but the bathroom was handy to all bedrooms so it wasn't a serious issue. The second toilet was useful. We would have preferred dog proof fencing at the front of the property or perhaps a fully fenced backyard. There was no barrier between the house at both ends to prevent our small dog from leaving the property had it tried to. The rear fence slats were a little wide or at least appeared to be consequently we had to stand guard whilst our Zoe went outside. All in all a great property and a credit to its owners. Thanks for allowing us to spend a week there, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh and thanks so much for the goodies you left for us, tea cakes and crisps etc.

"This was our second visit to Pinewood Hill and we still found it to be an excellent property."
Spotless, good location, well equipped and very comfortable beds. Would highly recommend. It is a pre lived in property so it is just like staying in someones home.
Warrenpoint is a lovely town, plenty of small shops and cafes and a Eorospar supermarket in the town. The scenery is great situated on Carlingford Loch. Newry is not far away with all the larger shops. Mourne Mountains on the doorstep with plenty of walking. There is some lovely scenery all the way along the Mourne coast and the Ardglass peninsula up to Strangford Lough. Belfast is just uo the A1 about an hour away. This area is quieter than the North Antrim coast, less tourists.

"What a wonderful home!"
The view was amazing and worth time looking out over the loch. The owner left us some treats to settle in. The walk into the Vikas was short and you had most of what you need nearby. We were sad to leave and we'll be sure to rebook when we return. Highly recommend this location.

The house is warm, cozy and very well equipped. The location is great with a lovely view over Carlingford Lough and a short walk to the town centre, and it was extremely clean. "A lovely clean and spacious house with everything you need for a comfortable stay."
The kitchen is very well equipped and the owners had kindly stocked the fridge with some essentials, which we very much appreciated as we arrived a short notice on a stormy Sunday evening. The views from the house are fantastic. It is a short walk to Warrenpoint which was very convenient with a good range of shops, cafes and restaurant. There is a lovely waterfront walk in the town and it is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful Mourne mountains and coast with lovely seaside towns. I would highly recommmend it as a great family holiday base.

Very spacious, more so than pictures and description indicate. Very clean and comfortable and a very useful welcome pack. Spacious rear garden. Plenty of storage space but some cupboards are packed with owner’s personal items. Plates and glasses are old and mismatched and need updating/replacing.

"This bright, very spacious, comfortable property was both well equipped and spotlessly clean."
Our host made us feel welcome with some unexpected treats, texted to check that all was well during our stay, and unobtrusively took care of things during our stay - grass was cut, bins were rolled out for collection for us etc. The photos if anything do not do the property full justice! The house was bigger than we expected, had such a lovely outlook, and felt so peaceful, we were very relaxed. The location is great - lots of fantastic walking available locally, cafes, restaurants and bakeries within an easy walk from the front door of the house, and we had day trips to Belfast and Dublin - loads to do within easy reach, and a great sized kitchen to enjoy cooking in. A really great holiday, thanks so much Deirdre!

"We had a lovely stay in Warrenpoint last month."
Views from the house are terrific whether it's clear and sunny or stormy or wet. Lovely welcome pack on arrival with cakes, bread milk cheese etc which was enjoyed by all. Good facilities although the electric oven was a little difficult to work out! Warrenpoint is a good base to travel around from. TIP: If you have an EV car there is a charging point in the car park down by the harbour where you can leave the car overnight.
