He filled us in on the amenities and attractions on the island which was really helpful. Good weather was an added bonus for our stay. We were so at home in our cottage which was so well kitted out. We would highly recommend Brendan`s Cottage for a relaxing break in a very beautiful part of the country. Reviewed by ColetteSep 2020 "Great spot." Very convient for us for traveling around the area. Just to advice people there is no local supermarket so make sure you bring plenty of provisions . It was ideal for us . Cottage was very clean & had everything we needed. Remote so may not be everyone’s choice . If you are looking for quiet & relaxing it’s the place for you Reviewed by GerardJul 2020 "The location was wonderful ,the cottage had everything that a family would want or need." Mr Cahhill was always on hand if anything was required he was a mind of information on location to visit.. If there was a down side it was the lack of Internet access Lol? But was not a problem for us because you can do without Internet for a week or two?? Great location wonderful place. Will use that cottage again. Friendly people, excellent food, terrific Guinness and a very comfortable cottage to go home to in the evening. There was even milk in the fridge on our arrival. We would have enjoyed Mr Cahill's interesting and large garden if the weather had been kinder. Reviewed by JohnJul 2019 "The house was comfortable and clean and cosy." The owner has given careful thought and generosity in anticipating and providing for every requirement. The lovely garden is understated in the property description. Reviewed by PeterJul 2019 "Simply exhilarating, literally nothing we ever wanted that we didn't find in the house with a splendid environment on a picturesque island!" Reviewed by ShirazJun 2019 "Peter, the owner of Brendan's cottage, seemed like a nice man and was quick to respond whenever we had questions or problems, which we really appreciated." That said, the cottage had lots of quirks. The most stressful quirk for us was that we were being charged for all the gas heating and electricity we used while staying in the cottage, as reflected by the meter reading. (This was mentioned in the listing, but it's so unconventional that we didn't notice/understand it when we were making our booking). We stayed for six days and only ended up paying $13, so the expense wasn't bad. However, we were very anxious during our first night or two in the cottage, before we had gotten a good estimate of how quickly our energy expenses could add up. The cottage itself was kitschy, not necessarily in a bad way. It did have spots of mold in a few places. The location was beautiful, and the garden was huge and lovely. All things considered, we were happy to move on to our next bnb when we left. Many thanks for your feedback, we have fed your comments back to the owner in order to maintain our property standards.
