"The property itself was very spacious, but very dusty & lots of cobwebs all around."
The table mats need to be replaced they are very worn & tatty. There was an issue with ants in the utility area. The outside lights were not working & it was so very dark at nights outside & as a result of this my elderly mother had a fall & banged her arm, it could have been worse. Christine the caretaker was very helpful when I rang her about this, she got onto the owner straight away, he then sent an electrician out the next morning. He condemned the lights but managed to get a light working in the one outside the front door. He rang the owner who agreed to fix only one out the back. The lights are not much use until you get inside & turn them on. The street lights outside were all not working at all, all filled with moss inside them etc etc, so the whole place outside was pitch black, again a very dangerous place in the dark. This needs to be addressed for everyone not just number 13. It would be nice when travelling to the house & arriving late at night to have had at least a small welcome box with milk & bread in it, like in previous years. We have stayed in many of these holiday homes over the years & I can see so many cuts backs apart from the cost of them. Even the electric is so very pricey. The inside decor needs attention, where paint has come off the cream walls, they have been patched up with white paint in blobs. For the cost of the rental I would of expected perfection
I do not accept these observations. My property is in tip top shape,
is spotlessly clean , furnished to a very high standard , has all the amenities
that any reasonable person would seek in a holiday home and is set
in a beautiful complex , with views of sea and mountains that allow
this property to be a real gem and guaranteed to leave happy memories to anyone that
stays at the property in the current season of 2025 or ongoing thereafter. I am proud of my offering to the holiday market. I have holiday makers that return to my property year after year and that speaks of great satisfaction at a high level.

"Generous with space but stingy with supplies."
Positives: near centre of town yet in quiet location well away from traffic, waterfall and gardens just a short walk away, spacious and airy, furniture comfortable, Sony Bravia TV and Blu-ray player, manager Christina was great. Negatives: Wi-Fi is pay as you go (€15 per week), supplies missing (washing-up liquid, soap, Blu-rays/DVDs, games, starter pack for fireplace) despite some of these mentioned as supplied in description, not eco-friendly (draughts everywhere - expensive to heat if cold, only 2 LED bulbs - all others tungsten, no energy monitor, no bin for recycling), hotel first night because Christina broke her phone - free night offered but I needed to leave early - hope she now has useful number for alternative contact!

"I have already posted one star reviews on VRBO and Trustpilot websites."
I have also used the "Send Message To Host" feature at VRBO to share my concern directly. I will be happy to upgrade reviews of this place when I am reimbursed for the costs I incurred in order to restore electrical power when it was cut off during our stay.
Dear respondent , typically , ongoing electricity usage is at a very low level cost.
However, in any case, it is fully made clear on the property promotional brochure that power is operated on a prepay pay as you go system , with e10 complementary credit on the system , on arrival, and pay card provided to allow for electricity purchase , say e20-e30 , to allow for additional guest usage during a typical week stay ,from local shop approximately 200 metres from the property

"We loved staying in the leisure village."
The house was so clean and really well laid out. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful. The village had lovely cafes, restaurants, bakery, shops and pharmacies. There were lovely monuments to see, park for children, fairy gardens, sensory gardens and the views from the pier were amazing. The holiday village was great value for money and we will definitely be coming back to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality, we had an amazing holiday ❤️

"House is quite pleasant and the location is great - just a short walk to pubs and cafes."
The main issue we had was the electricity disconnecting. The property has a smart meter and electric heating. To adequately heat the property while we were there would have cost around 20 Euros a day. The property was listed as power included in the rent but this turned out not to be the case. Sykes refunded the money we had to feed the meter so that was good but if anyone is thinking about booking this property it would be worth checking the situation.
