  • "The best holiday home we have stayed in."

    Very clean, nicely decorated and is truly a home away from home. This home exceeded our expectations, allowing us to have a comfortable place to go after long days of exploring the West of Ireland! If I could only make one comment, I would suggest that the double bed in the downstairs room could do with updating. But regardless we will be booking this house when staying in Mayo as it is clean, well maintained, picturesque in location and truly ticks all of the boxes!

  • "The property was a delight to stay in."

    Every comfort thought of for us. Beautiful views from the Balcony and grass surrounding well maintained. The only thing I would suggest is a visitors book for guests to sign and comment on at the end of their stay. We left a Thank You card. The lady we had as a contact was a star, very helpful and delight to chat with. The owners should be proud of this little gem they have provided for holiday makers. Loved it and intend to return.

  • "Lovely cottage set in beautiful surroundings; every morning we would be greeted by wild hares hopping in the garden!"

    From the balcony, we could see the wild Atlantic Ocean amid the stunning scenery. The beaches are only a short walk away; Belderra beach attracts surfers. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and warm. Communication with owners was great. Would definitely recommend and use again.

    The owner and Una who looks after the property were brilliant. An appliance broke while we were there and within a couple of hours it was replaced. Great communication from both. Would love to book again.

  • "A fabulous house in the Mullet peninsula!"

    We loved our stay here. House is very spacious and has all the comforts we needed, specially for cooking. Comms with owner were smooth and he was very helpful.

  • "This is a beautiful property in a quiet location that is perfect to explore the area."

    The house was extremely comfortable and there was loads of outdoor space in which to enjoy the good weather that we had. We spent most of our week kayaking but there were plenty of walks also that include quiet beaches. We had one minor issue during our stay but Una was on hand and dealt with the issue very quickly so thank you Una it was lovely to meet you.

    The house is in a perfect location within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to the town of Belmullet.Where there are many shops and restaurants to enjoy.The view of the sea from the balcony is a real bonus.The house is cosy and comfortable, a tranquil haven after a day out exploring the local area and beaches. It is well equipped and is beautifully maintained, a real home from home. The children especially enjoyed the great outdoor space and the cosy upstairs area. We are really looking forward to returning for our next holiday. Ann and family

  • "Cottage was ok was a bit on the expensive side for what was on offer."

    There was no welcome pack. No small amount of wood for the lovely fire or firelighters. Coffee was out of date by years and all dried up . A few teabags. No milk or any other homely touches. It was just OK to be honest. Road into the cottage has a big hole in it where I nearly lost my tyre also you cannot drive up to the cottage.It was ok but I wouldn't be going back to it in a hurry. It was quoted at just under 400 when I looked but when I called to book it had gone up to 535 ish. After complaints and various calls it was reduced to about 430 ish for 3 days. We where not able to check in till 5 ish and we had to be out by 10 so really was a tad expensive. Having said this it would probably be better suited to a family.

This family-friendly detached house is located in a quiet development near the sea at Binghamstown, close to Belmullet in County Mayo.

Homely and comfortable throughout, this coastal cottage is the perfect place to spend some quality time together in one of Ireland’s most unspoilt areas with breathtaking seascapes, sandy beaches and rich, rural countryside on your doorstep.

As you step inside, you will find a spacious open plan area, complete with a well-equipped, fitted kitchen, dining area and cosy sitting area complemented by a woodburning stove, ideal for wining, dining and relaxing!

For any members of your party that may have reduced mobility, there are two ground floor bedrooms, complete with an en-suite shower room for extra comfort and convenience.

Upstairs you will find one more bedroom also with en-suite shower room.

The first floor lounge is the perfect place to kick back and relax with sliding doors to the balcony.

A leisurely stroll along a country road will take you to the water’s edge with a sandy beach.

The Belmullet Peninsula is located on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, which adapts a much more relaxed pace of life.

The locals will give you a warm welcome upon arrival and will no doubt invite you to join them in a local session in the pub!

The region is famed for its scenery and diving opportunities with its crystal blue waters, sheltered coves and rugged cliffs with many classes available for both the amateur and experienced divers!

Why not visit the Ceide Fields, an archaeological site overlooking the Atlantic Ocean or Achill Island?

The Ballycroy National Park is also on your doorstep and just waits to be discovered!

BELMULLET, COUNTY MAYO

Bangor Erris 12 miles.

Known as the capital of the Mullet Peninsula in the barony of Erris, the coastal town of Belmullet rests between Blacksod and Broadhaven Bays, inlets of the Atlantic Ocean, and represents the entry point to this mystical and unspoilt County Mayo headland. Although classed as a Gaeltacht (or Irish-speaking) area, English is universally used. Much of the native culture and heritage of Ireland can be experienced here, from traditional Irish music to the song and dance for which Ireland is renowned the world over. Many visitors to the area enjoy the fantastic fishing on offer, both salt and fresh water, while watersports are also popular with surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing available from the beaches locally. Welcoming and friendly, the town boasts a number of pubs, four hotels, shops and seafood restaurants, as well as a selection of festivals throughout the year. At the four corners of Erris you will find the Neolithic Cèide Fields, the unspoilt wilderness of Ballycroy National Park, the towering cliffs of Ceann Iorrais (Erris Head) and the final resting place of the fabled Children of Lir, the island of Inis Gluaire.
