  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kara's."

If we had any problem, Kara directed us. We had a small issue with the car and she directed us to a good local mechanic. Every amenity in the house was available to us. Certainly would come back to Kara's again and recommend this to any one who visits Ireland. Kind Regards Darryl

Thanks so much Darryl and Charmayne, it was lovely to meet you both. We'd love to welcome you back Property Owner

  • "What a delightful stay!"

Our first trip to Ireland as a family & from check in to check out everything was perfect. Owners live round the back of the property but left us completely to it. Great comms from moment of booking. We were warmly greeted on arrival, had friendly chats when we saw each other during the stay and came to wish us a safe journey home at check out. Really quiet neighbourhood overlooking a field with a marked out football pitch with goals - my son took a real liking to that! The property was furnished to a real high standard and included everything we needed for a weeks stay. Being a football fanatic, I particularly enjoyed the signed football frames on display throughout the home :-) Beds & sitting area in living room were very comfortable, huge walk in shower where plenty of towels were provided. Washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer came in very handy. Already looking to book again next year, the property owners have done a really good job with this. Couldn't fault it...even the sun shined most of the week! Really lovely area but own transport is required to get out and about and see some of the beautiful surroundings.

Thank you so much Nico and Family. We'll look forward to welcoming you back ☺️ Property Owner

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay at Rathroe Meadows!"

The house is superbly equipped and maintained, and the owners, who live at the rear of the property could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The wet room and ground floor bedroom were ideal for those of us with limited mobility, whilst the younger and fitter members of our party made use of the two good size bedrooms upstairs. The village pub and shop are a 5 minute walk away, and we enjoyed Sunday lunch at the pub and several excellent take-aways. We also had an excellent meal at the Hollow Restaurant, just outside the village. There is an excellent beach a short drive away at Duncannon, where you can park on the beach, and the cottage is well situated both for exploring the Hook peninsula and crossing to County Waterford via the Passage East car ferry. We highly recommend this property.

Thanks so much Robert. It was lovely to meet you. We appreciate your Feedback . Property Owner

  • "We stayed in Rathroe meadows for a week in July."

Kara was extremely welcoming and helpful. House was spotless and very comfortable. TVs in bedrooms really appreciated. We had a very pleasant stay. Kara and Padraig were living behind house but we had complete privacy. Location ideal. Shop in village within walking distance. Duncannon Beach a few miles away really convenient because you can drive onto beach. Car ferry to Waterford was really handy and meant we could visit Tramore Dunmore East and Waterford City easily. Loads to do. Great location. We are looking forward to going back.

Thanks so much Anne xx. It was lovely to have ye stay with us ❣️ Property Owner
