"Firstly it was not obvious that the property was situated in a house cluster."
the photograph looked as if it was on its own site.
Secondly there was a tricolour flag on the fence which I found difficult.
Thirdly the host family was living in a mobile accommodation in the back garden . This meant that the back garden was 'out of bounds' for the guest renters and that the sunroom needed to be screened for privacy.
Fourthly there were several smart tv screens in the house but there was no access to terrestrial tv stations - saorview was not available
There was no microwave provided.
finally , while the house was clean and well maintained the owners did not say that they would be living on the premises as part of the description. We were informed of this 3 days before travelling - too late to change plans and when money had been paid in full at least 6weeks earlier.

"I would like to say a big thank you to Kara & Paudie for a lovely stay at Rathroe Meadows, We had a lovely few days & the weather was fabulous, which was a bonus."
The house was really pretty & very comfortable for 6 adults & our dog & the green space across from the house was perfect for our dog to stretch his legs & play ball . It felt safe, quite & peaceful .
Duncannon was only 10 min drive to the beautiful beach, bars ,restaurants & shops .
I would not hesitate to stay there again & I would highly recommend to all.
Thanks again to Kara, Paudie & Hogans Irish Cottages.
Best Regards,
Edel.
Thanks so much Edel and Co for staying with us. We appreciate the feedback....

"Beautiful property in a great location."
The owner Kara met us on arrival & showed us round the house, she was very friendly & informative. The house was spotlessly clean, cosy, had every appliance you could ever need, comfy beds, great showers, lovely garden for the dog & a huge grassed area opposite the house. It was a short walk to the shop & pub & very close to lots of attractions in the area. We will definitely stay again, highly recommended.
Thanks so much for staying with us . Jemmi is missing his buddy .
We'd love to see ye again in the future..

"Kara and Padraig were brilliant - so welcoming and helpful."
They are living behind house - and while they were very available if needed, we had complete privacy. Great communication from Kara both before and during our stay - she even told us what time the rugby match started in the local pub ! The pub and shop are a five minute walk away and the location is ideal for visiting all the attractions in Wexford and it's also very near the car ferry to Waterford too. However, the house itself is the icing on the cake - the pictures do not do it justice - very clean, comfortable, well laid out and in a lovely quiet neighbourhood overlooking a field. The property is furnished to a very high standard and included everything we needed for our stay. Downstairs bedroom and separate bathroom, plenty of towels provided, upstairs (via a spiral staircase) two more bedrooms with another bathroom. Sitting area and kitchen huge and very comfortable, washing machine, dishwasher and dryer also there. Televisions all over the place (:D) We were three adults and one dog - we had the use of the lawn out front and could park in the driveway. Couldn't fault a thing about the house or the lovely people !!

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kara's."
If we had any problem, Kara directed us. We had a small issue with the car and she directed us to a good local mechanic. Every amenity in the house was available to us. Certainly would come back to Kara's again and recommend this to any one who visits Ireland.
Kind Regards
Darryl

"What a delightful stay!"
Our first trip to Ireland as a family & from check in to check out everything was perfect. Owners live round the back of the property but left us completely to it. Great comms from moment of booking. We were warmly greeted on arrival, had friendly chats when we saw each other during the stay and came to wish us a safe journey home at check out. Really quiet neighbourhood overlooking a field with a marked out football pitch with goals - my son took a real liking to that! The property was furnished to a real high standard and included everything we needed for a weeks stay. Being a football fanatic, I particularly enjoyed the signed football frames on display throughout the home :-) Beds & sitting area in living room were very comfortable, huge walk in shower where plenty of towels were provided. Washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer came in very handy. Already looking to book again next year, the property owners have done a really good job with this. Couldn't fault it...even the sun shined most of the week! Really lovely area but own transport is required to get out and about and see some of the beautiful surroundings.
Thank you so much Nico and Family. We'll look forward to welcoming you back ☺️

"Thank you for a lovely stay at Rathroe Meadows!"
The house is superbly equipped and maintained, and the owners, who live at the rear of the property could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The wet room and ground floor bedroom were ideal for those of us with limited mobility, whilst the younger and fitter members of our party made use of the two good size bedrooms upstairs. The village pub and shop are a 5 minute walk away, and we enjoyed Sunday lunch at the pub and several excellent take-aways. We also had an excellent meal at the Hollow Restaurant, just outside the village. There is an excellent beach a short drive away at Duncannon, where you can park on the beach, and the cottage is well situated both for exploring the Hook peninsula and crossing to County Waterford via the Passage East car ferry.
We highly recommend this property.
Thanks so much Robert. It was lovely to meet you. We appreciate your Feedback .

"We stayed in Rathroe meadows for a week in July."
Kara was extremely welcoming and helpful. House was spotless and very comfortable. TVs in bedrooms really appreciated. We had a very pleasant stay. Kara and Padraig were living behind house but we had complete privacy. Location ideal. Shop in village within walking distance. Duncannon Beach a few miles away really convenient because you can drive onto beach. Car ferry to Waterford was really handy and meant we could visit Tramore Dunmore East and Waterford City easily. Loads to do. Great location. We are looking forward to going back.
Thanks so much Anne xx.
