    If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to unwind from the stressful life we are exposed to in today's society, then this is an option you should place at the top of your list. The property is very well eqipped and room sizes are good. Much thought has clearly gone into designing and providing a 'holiday home'.

    The views are simply stunning, and the house itself is beautiful, spacious, and so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. We will definitely be back!

  • "Had such a great week, the property is so spacious and well furnished."

    Beds, showers, kitchen equipment all top notch. The grounds were well kept, again huge. Fabulous location, lovely neighbours, peaceful. Fethard-On-Sea is a few miles away, really good shop, cafes, a great bakery, gorgeous bloke in the surf shop! Safe bays nearby to swim. Absolutely loved it. Thank you xx

    Extremely well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and great living areas. The only small negative would be that there was no outside seating in the front of the house., otherwise a perfect property which we thoroughly enjoyed.

  • "Absolutely Stunning – A Modern Gem with Breathtaking Views!"

    Wow – we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful! Old Field House is simply out of this world. The house itself is modern, stylish, and designed to make the most of its incredible surroundings. And the sea views? Just breathtaking! Yes, it’s remote (about 15 minutes to the nearest Londis), but that’s part of the charm. The peace, the tranquillity, and the sheer beauty of the setting make it the perfect escape from everyday life. I have no idea how this is only rated 4 ticks on Sykes – it’s a 5-star experience all day long. Better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in,. We will definitely be back!

  • "Incredible 10/10!"

    Paddy & Ann were brilliant hosts. Can’t fault a single thing from start to finish. Old Field House is genuinely the best place we have ever stayed. We couldn’t believe the attention to detail and how well equipped the house was! Our 1yr old daughter was so well catered for with endless supplies of toys and places to explore. The views are outstanding and we will miss seeing the harbour from the living room window. Everything was outstanding and we cannot wait to come back again next year.

After unloading your belongings, step into your new home-from-home to discover the spacious and well-equipped kitchen/diner with an adjoining sunroom, the perfect place to gather and enjoy a meal, with the utility room offering added convenience.

After cooking up a delicious feast, relax in the formal sitting room, or make base in the inviting snug, clicking on the Smart TV ready to relish a movie night with loved ones. When sleep calls, wash away the day in the ground floor en-suite, ground-floor shower room or first floor main family bathroom, before discovering four beautifully-presented bedrooms, each designed to offer a tranquil sleeping space.

FETHARD-ON-SEA, COUNTY WEXFORD

Duncannon 5.5 miles; New Ross 17 miles; Waterford 31.5 miles.

Fethard-on-Sea is a village nestling to the east of the Hook Peninsula, in the south-west of lovely County Wexford. Fethard-on-Sea has a colourful history, including the lifeboat tragedy of 1914, and the Fethard-on-Sea Boycott, which has been immortalised in print and on film. Now a quiet fishing and holiday village, Fethard makes a great base to enjoy sandy beaches, shops and pubs. The Hook Peninsula continues to attract visitors due to the ancient lighthouse and a multitude of beaches. There is a beach a day for a fortnight on the Peninsula, plus there are a variety of watersports, such as diving, snorkelling and shore angling, along with painting and birdwatching. There are many interesting historical sites to visit, such as Tintern Abbey with its walled garden, guided tour and forest walk and medieval abbeys in Dunbrody and Graiguenamanagh, plus the star shaped Elizabethan Fort at Duncannon houses a military and maritime museum, and The Cockleshell Art Gallery. Head up to New Ross and visit the JFK Arboretum or the Dunbrody Famine Ship, or travel over to Waterford in the west or Wexford in the east to take in all they have to offer, from the Wexford Opera House, Johnstown Castle and The Heritage Park to Waterford Castle and Waterford Crystal.
