  • "A lovely flat, very clean and recently decorated."

    A really good place to stay for a few days. The parking space in front of the property is accessible only for small-to-medium-sized cars. I believe there's one at the back if needed, though.

    Thank you. Yes sadly parking at matlock properties with our small lanes and Derbyshire hills is not easy. There is however additional parking at the back which can be utilised if the front is not accessible. This is a lot larger and easily accessible. We just ask that people park sensibly to allow others to also park. Property Owner

  • "A couple of observations, not criticism, as follows: would have been nice to have a microwave, the tv in the lounge was too high on the wall, the front step into the property was a little bit too high, no glasses for a whiskey, the front door frame could do with sealing against the brickwork, the settee was a bit worn out and low for us personally."

    Having said that, the first impressions were really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to others and the value for money was really good as well as the location. A little gem of a place which I am sure will do well. Thank you.

Sadly we are very restricted externally as this is a conservation area and the building has an article 4 directive over it which restricts us from external adjustments to the building. The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze.
