The property

The Granary is a delightful countryside retreat tucked away at the end of a long private driveway, located just outside Axminster near the borders of Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

One of three charming cottages, it offers easy access to the A35 and the surrounding area, including the stunning Jurassic Coast and the beautiful beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Inside, The Granary is thoughtfully arranged in an upside down layout to make the most of its lovely rural views.

Upstairs, the spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is bathed in natural light from large windows on both sides.

The well-equipped kitchen makes meal preparation a breeze, with options to dine at the breakfast bar or the dining table while enjoying the far-reaching countryside beyond.

Throughout the property, stylish and considered touches create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that blends comfort with character. Downstairs, there are two comfortable bedrooms – one king-size and one single – both bright and inviting.

A contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC is also located on the ground floor. Outside, guests can relax in the shared garden, complete with outdoor seating and bordered by colourful planting.

This tranquil spot offers breathtaking views across open farmland and is perfect for soaking up the sunshine. The area is rich in natural beauty and local attractions.

Lyme Regis is a favourite with families, offering a safe, sandy beach, the iconic Cobb harbour, and a great choice of places to eat, including Swim with its sea views and the ever-popular Rockfish for fresh seafood.

Just along the coast, Charmouth is a fossil hunter’s paradise.

Visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre to learn about the Jurassic Coast, join a guided fossil walk, or explore the beach to discover ammonites and other prehistoric finds. For walkers and nature lovers, the South West Coast Path offers spectacular coastal views and scenic trails, while the surrounding countryside is ideal for peaceful rambles.

Just a short drive away, Millers Farm Shop is perfect for picking up fresh local produce, artisan goods, and everyday essentials for your stay. Whether you're seeking a tranquil escape or a base for adventure, The Granary is a wonderful choice for your next Devon getaway.
