Reviews

  • "A delightful little "Corner" which was thoughtfully fitted out with everything I needed and more."

Roomier than expected and I loved the view of the chickens outside. The owner (and dogs) were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Village pub and stores both recommended! TV could only be watched via streaming services but they are so comprehensive that this wasn't a problem for me.

It was lovely to meet you Helen and thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay. We’re so pleased you had a lovely time. With best wishes, Tracey & Adrian Property Owner

With glorious views across the surrounding lush countryside, Piglet Corner offers a retreat for couples or solo travellers looking to escape the hustle and bustle, whilst resting a scenic car journey away from the coast.

Reach your tranquil position and park up outside, with your new abode resting on a working farm.

Fully enclosed and private, take advantage of your outdoor space, with rolling hills and lofty peaks in the backdrop, toasting to your getaway with your favourite tipple, ahead of completing your nightly routine in the shower room.

Catch up on the latest TV series from the plush sofa, before climbing into the double bed for some rest.

On your doorstep you will locate The Culm Valley Inn pub, an idyllic dine-out option, along with The Strand Stores cafe a little further along.

About the location

CULMSTOCK

Wellington 6 miles; Tiverton 11 miles; Taunton 13 miles.

Culmstock is a small picturesque Devon village nestled on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The River Culme glides gently through the village under the old narrow stone bridge giving a feeling of tranquillity to Culmstock. The village has a pub, a deli shop with a café, a garage. All Saints church dating back to the 12th century is built on a slope near the river and has a 200 year old yew tree growing out of the tower, which means it requires watering regularly by pouring water from the top of the tower. There are some fabulous walks from the village, and from nearby Culmstock Beacon there are magnificent views of the Culme Valley. The charm of the area around the Blackdown Hills is partly retained by the sparsely populated landscape and pretty villages relying significantly on farming. From Culmstock, the rolling hills of Exmoor are a short drive away providing opportunities for horse riding, fishing and bird watching. Being midway between the North and South Devon coasts, Culmstock is an ideal base to explore all aspects of Devon’s natural beauty. There are some excellent attractions in the area including Knighthayes Court owned by the National Trust. And the attractive small Somerset market town of Wellington is less than ten minutes drive, with attractive buildings and unusual shops. There is plenty to keep the whole family occupied when staying in Culmstock.
