"Lovely cottage, extremely spacious and comfortable."
A bit out of the way, but within easy reach of Chard and Crewkerne, and not too far from Lyme Regis and the coast. A small corner shelf or caddy in the shower would be useful, and a manual for the induction hob, but generally an excellent cottage that we would happily return to.

"Very spacious cottage situated in a beautiful rural location."
Ideally located to visit coast and countryside. The two upstairs bedrooms and family bathroom were perfect for my daughter and family. Our smaller downstairs bedroom had the added bonus of an ensuite shower room. Kitchen/dining/living area works perfectly for a family with direct access onto a secure garden with outdoor seating and summer house. On site parking from which you can access a useful laundry room.

"Ammerham was a beautiful cottage/home in a lovely location."
Henny was very welcoming and accommodating. the property was a little remote for our liking, and we did experience some issues when driving to locations. however Lyme Regis and Weymouth were exceptional places to visit. it was wonderful to see the stars overnight (no light pollution - amazing) and the property was incredibly well equipped so we would love to come back, thank you

"We had a wonderful week at Ammerham Cottage where we received a lovely welcoming gift of Milk and Brownies!"
Well equipped and clean, comfortable and quiet, with lovely, green views of the trees and gardens. It served as great base from which to visit various beauty spots in Somerset Devon and Dorset! Henny, our host, was readily available for any small queries we may have had and swiftly saw to the sudden appearance of a wasp nest in the garden!! Thank you Henny for providing your very comfortable, cosy and peaceful cottage for us to enjoy our holiday.

"We did leave some comments in the book provided."
Overall the cottage is lovely, we used the garden which was very peaceful, lovely parasol to shelter from the sun, a wonderful little summer house which again, we did use. However, the negative comments were re the downstairs shower room, it was very slippery when emerging from the shower, a grab rail really is a necessity. Also, there was not a potato masher or slotted slicer (for getting fried eggs out of the frying pan). These two things were only minor but annoying that the were not there. The only other "niggle" was that the bedroom lamps were too dim to read by, we had to keep the main lights on whilst we read. We met Henny the host twice, very nice lady who provided fresh milk which was delicious and also some complimentary home made brownies. Henny also makes her own sausage rolls and pasties, we ordered some of her pasties, they were delicious. Overall, we would recommend Ammerham Farm Cottage.

"Ammerham Farm Cottage was an absolutely fantastic place to have a holiday with our young kids."
The house is beautiful and felt much bigger than it looks on the photographs. It was spotlessly clean and had a really well equipped kitchen, as well as nice beds, lovely bedding and towels and good heating and hot water. The setting the house is in is idilic and peaceful, with countryside walks from the door, and the garden spaces were great, with a safe lawned area outside the kitchen for the kids to play in and then a bigger grassed field over the drive where we could all play rounders and frisbee. The owner was also really helpful and friendly. All in all this the best holiday house we've been to.

"A very comfortable cottage to stay in."
The large kitchen/diner/sunroom provided a lovely space to sit in. Wonderful views of open countryside topped off by a cherry tree in full blossom. Henny, our host, was most welcoming and we enjoyed the brownies (so much we got more) and pasties. Gentle walk to Forde Abbey and lots of National Trust gardens plus the coast all within 30 minutes. Also a number of farm shops and milk dispensers around.

For us the ground floor large ensuite bedroom was an essential. Good phone and WiFi connectivity, on site private parking , laundry facilities include a drier which was great as we stayed in winter. Easy access to the Jurassic coast yet several beautiful walks direct from the cottage. Henny, the host, lives nearby and is easily contactable by phone if needed.

"We were warmly welcomed by Henny and given a gift of delicious brownies."
The cottage is beautiful, very spacious, immaculately clean and was generously supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water on demand for the fabulous showers and bath. All the appliances are good quality and easy to use, the laundry room was a great bonus for getting our beach towels washed and dried. We loved sitting in the garden and conservatory enjoying the sun and watching the birds, it was so peaceful and quiet.
We enjoyed exploring the towns, beaches and National Trust properties all within easy driving distance and then coming back to our lovely home from home.
Thank you Henny for letting us enjoy your beautiful cottage, we hope we can come again!

"As the owner didn't meet us on arrival, as stated, we had no information on how to use any appliances in the kitchen, even finding the hidden cutlery drawer was a challenge."
There was no local information provided, e.g. nearest shop, places to eat, local walks etc.
On day 3 heating went off, information pack in property stated heating was switched off in summer (not mentioned in your on line information) so we assumed this had happenned untill hot water ran out on day 5. Owner contacted who visited and after investigating said the heating oil tank was empty Blamed an oil leak? So several cold nights and 1 day only a cold shower. Overall a loveley cottage but let down by owners lack of customer care. Left us rather dissapointed.

"Very clean spacious cottage in a beautiful location."
The owner met us on arrival and was very helpful with anything we required. The cottage had everything you could need. The only one issue for us was the peace & quite that we’re expecting was ruined most days by the house at the back of the cottage that had 2 or maybe 3 dogs that would constantly bark every morning and was very annoying and spoilt our holiday. If you like barking dogs, book this cottage.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm so very sorry about the dogs barking. I understand the house next door were looking after someone else's dog that week and they were a bit overexcited. We have never had any other complaints about the dogs - I am just so sorry it happened in your week. kind regards.

"Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful rural setting."
The cottage and its’ garden were lovely and made for a great base for exploring the coastline of Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.
The property was well-equipped, furnished and decorated throughout - and managed to blend the modern and the traditional with great success.
The owner, Henny, also runs a food business - and offered to deliver various baked items, which were tasty with good quality fillings - and fresh farm milk.
The beds were very comfortable and our party all slept very well throughout the stay. The log burner created a nice cosy atmosphere in the snug/TV room, after dinner during some chilly March evenings.
