  • "The cottage first of all was spotless."

So much attention to detail. There was milk and a lovely box of biscuits on arrival, very welcome after a long drive. We've stopped in a lot of holiday cottages and this one is definitely one of the better ones. The simple things that make a holiday cotrage have all been thought of. Everything you need for washing up, laundry, loo roll, foil, cling film...I could go on! There was plenty of crockery etc, again spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy with lovely bedding. We took our own throws for the furniture....we have a dog, but these were also provided along with bowls, toys and even a dog bed in the dining area. Parking is limited, but that's made clear and we parked a 5 minute walk away and it wasn't an issue. I wouldn't say Bideford wowed me, but the wider area is so beautiful, even in late March and we like to go and visit different places so were just looking for a base. I can't reccomend the cotrage highly enough. Enclosed quiet garden and great communication from Debbie. We were lucky on the whole with the weather considering the time of year. Went to Appledore, Instow, Minehead, Lynton and Lynmouth, Padstow and loads of places inbetween. Dog friendly beaches a plus and they were huge! For value for money I can't say anything more than book !

Hi Joy, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Milton Place & loved Devon so much. The beaches certainly are good for the soul. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future some time. Kindest wishes Debbie Property Owner

  • "Lovely Cottage Very clean comfortable well equipped."

Even dogs dishes bed toys towels. Garden we had really sunny days so we love the outside space table and bench. We took our camping chairs so we set out a lot with the dogs who enjoy it too. Could do with crab handle for stairs to bathroom. Am 70 only short so it would of been very helpful. Would book again for longer if had the handles. Thank you so much for a lovely break

Thanks Ivy for such lovely feedback. We are so glad you and the dogs enjoyed it so much. We will certainly look into the stairs and see what we can do. we hope to see you again in sunny Devon. Kindest wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

Lovely kitchen and bathroom. Stairs are very steep and need a rail up to bathroom. Games room very damp so not useable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We will be looking into stairs and seeing what we can do. We hope to see you again in Devon soon. Kind wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

We had a great stay and everything what we needed. Cottage was very clean, nice decorated and cozy wood burner in the living room. Only little issue with parking but we found long stay car park just around the corner. Close to lovely beaches and nice places. Definitely would recommended this place.

  • "A lovely cottage in the old part of town."

Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The enclosed rear garden is perfect for alfresco dining and is safe if you want to take your dog. We lit the log burner in the front room every evening. So cosy after a day of walking. The hosts are so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

  • "Lovely cosy mid terraced house in Bideford."

Had everything needed for our stay. Lots to do in the area and we had some get days out and about. Please don’t let the following issues put you off, if you have No mobility problems, just stating for those that do. Parking was as stated, the street is very narrow , so you can unload, but have to reverse back out. We had our 84 year old mother with us, but just dropped her off at the end of the street, whilst we parked. The only other challenge, beside the weather in January, was the stairs. The bedrooms are to one side of a V staircase, the bathroom to the other. But we all managed, you just have to take it steady! Thank you for a lovely week.

Dear Carolyn, We are so happy you enjoyed you're week so much. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we hope to see you again in the future. Kind wishes Debbie & Marc Property Owner

  • "The property is well equipped + everything was in working order."

Garden larger than expected which was great as it is dog friendly. Bedrooms all a good size + beds very comfortable. Disappointed that no Wi-Fi during our stay but assured this has been resolved. Would book again even with the steep hike from the town centre. (Good for the calves!) Well appointed too with several beaches within a short drive.

Thank you so much for the feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed Milton Place as much as we do. Sorry you were disappointed with the Wi-Fi & we couldn't get it connected whilst you were staying. We found it as frustrating as you. I'm pleased to say it's now connected. We hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner
