Cannot fault it. Lovely addition with the hot tub. Thank you Richard and Diane

  • "Our third visit to Pillhead farm Corn Tallet."

So you can tell we like it. Super spacious, comfy, very well equipped. Diane and Richard are lovely hosts, there if you need them but leave you alone to relax and enjoy. They have invested in new hot tubs and solar heating panels for the swimming pool for guests, all of which shows care and interest in making your stay a pleasure. A little trip to the great beaches or to places to visit, but thats the beauty of this out of town accommodation. It is a working farm, so it smells and sounds like a farm. For us part of its charm. Terrific.

  • "Great comfortable and safe stay."

Well equipped with more than adequate fitting and supplies. Nice warm and cost stay. Easy enough to find. Polite friendly hosts . No complaints or negative feedback . Views good and enough to see in the surrounding places. Thanks.

  • "We had a beautiful holiday, thank you very much."

Lovely accommodation with lovely hosts. The only negative point was that we were a bit reluctant to make full use of the pool as there were covid restrictions still in place for the mornings, but we do understand that everyone feels differently following the pandemic and easing of restrictions. The farm and accommodation was beautiful and we all had a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend this destination to family and friends! Special mention for the lovely farmer Who always made the time to have a pleasant chat when we saw him about the place, thank you for a fantastic break! ☺️

  • "Wow! What a fantastic find."

Our stay was 3 days on this occasion, but we are definitely going to book again for a longer stay. The place was easy to find from the directions supplied. Parking was sufficient for the one car. The home was warm and so spacious. The rooms were immaculate, and there were books and board games if you found yourself in need. Large screen TV in the lounge and smaller ones in all the bedrooms. Great pubs nearby for some of the food we've ever had. In the words of Arnie - "We will be back"

  • "The Corn Tallet was one of the very best properties that we have stayed in, It was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped."

I cannot praise it highly enough!

  • "Lovely accommodation, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable."

The Corn Tallet overlooks the farmyard, we enjoyed watching the sheep outside the window and we were not woken early like other reviews have stated. Dog friendly and although no enclosed garden it has a green area out the back with a very handy washing line. You can also walk your dog across the farmer’s land as long as on the lead. Pool was great and quite warm, even in the rain! The pool rota was good but was a shame we couldn’t use the pool when we arrived as we were looking forward to a swim after a long journey. The gentleman farmer was always friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "We have been before so we knew what to expect hence "met expectations" Dont want to tell people how good it is so we can keep it to ourselves, but it's only fair to say we love it."

  • "Very well equipped cottage, is on a working farm so not great if your not an early riser."

Great location for exploring North Devon.

    Miss TurrellJun 2021

  • "Full account was given to the covid19 recommendations with regard to the cottage and use of the swimming pool."

social distancing was observed at all times. We have holidayed at this venue, staying in all of the cottages at some time or another and this holiday was as good as ever. Plenty of places to visit nearby or within easily accessible distance. A good base for activities in Devon/Cornwall and a place to relax and be comfortable if staying in.

  • "Lovely spacious cottage surrounded by fields, also close to local supermarket."

Really friendly owners too. However we stayed there in April which is lambing season, although it does state in the details that the property is situated on a working farm, this didn’t prepare us for the noise, unfortunately we didn’t sleep well, so for this reason we are not planning a return visit unfortunately.

  • "The Corn Tallet is very well appointed, the kitchen particularly."

Other facilities are good and the beds very comfortable. Overall it is an excellent place to stay.

  • "Communication was good via email about what to do and expect."

Even though on a farm it was lovely and quiet. Fairly central for travelling to different areas . Good base . Large property. Didn’t use pool or picnic areas due to time of year .

  • "The property was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay."

It would have been better if the outside space we had was a little more private but it certainly didnt stop us from making use of it. The property waszadverised as working farm, we are early risers so not an issue for us but may be worth mentioning on the listing that tractors and quads will be moving around the farm from 7am. As the bedrooms are all downstairs the sound of the machinery is very loud. Not really an issue for us as our children wake up early anyway but guests wanting a layin would have struggled. Overall we had a lovely stay and didnt experience any problems. The owners made contact when we first arrived and were quite to respond to any questions we had.

  • "Very well appointed accommodation."

Plenty of kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and seating. It was rather a wet week (nothing to do with Corn Pallet) but we could have done with more facilities to hang and dry our clothes and boots. It would have also helped to have a larger mat inside the front door to protect the kitchen floor.

  • "Our friends and us a lovely 7 days, and would like to go back sometime in the future"

    Mrs GauntSep 2019

  • "The cottage was superb, very large, very clean."

More than enough seating for 6 people. The Kitchen was very well equipped with, washing powder, dishwasher tablets, kitchen cleaner. You can easily cook with enough pots and pans, cooking utensils I could go on and on. A child or dog gate at the top of the stairs and night lights. The bathrooms are both very big and very clean. The bedrooms are large with plenty wardrobe space with enough coat hangers lovely bedding. There was nothing I can think of that was missing.

Great swimming pool in superb surroundings.
