  • "Little Honeynook is an immaculate and well equipped cottage."

Very dog friendly, even down to providing feeding bowls and towels. The neat little garden (which is lit up in the evening) is dog secure with sea and countryside views. Ian and Gill are very welcoming hosts. On arrival we enjoyed the cream tea, wine and loaf of bread. A nice little touch was the freshly cut flowers. We would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful cottage to our friends and family. Best wishes, Sue and Dave Middleton.

  • "If you had 'cottage owner /cottage' of the year, Ian and Gill would certainly be on the shortlist!"

They had left plenty of treats for our arrival but interestingly, one I really appreciated had cost nothing. There beside the scones was a little card saying 'Welcome John and Liz', also the top sheet of the 'Useful Information' was addressed 'Dear John and Liz'. Just little touches but they expressed Ian and Gill's thoughtfulness which was evident throughout

  • "Little Honeynook was very clean and well appointed with contemporary furniture and having lots of USB charging points."

Having stayed in many cottages, we came well armed with all the extras (learned from experience) we could need. However, had we turned up without these to Little Honeynook - it would have come up trumps. It had everything we could need. There was also good communication before our visit, such as a direct number for any queries - much appreciated. For us though the major attraction was the location, being so close to Bigbury beach. We also enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the dog friendly and welcoming Pickwick Arms, 5 mins walk up the road. We would definitely recommend Little Honeynook, perfect for a couple getaway!

One of the best we have stayed in. Comfy bed. Comfy furniture. Home from home. Garden wonderful with relaxing chairs and hot tub. A lot of effort has gone into ensuring your stay is nothing short of 10 stars. The welcome pack was amazing. Scones, jam and cream. A bottle of wine and a pint of milk in the fridge. If I could give this cottage 10 stars that would still be short of what it deserves.

And had also provided brochures and books about all the places nearby. The host had left us scones and cream, and milk and butter in the fridge and a bottle of wine, The hot tub had been emptied and we where told when it would be at the ideal temperature. There was two bathroom robes, which was a useful touch. There was plenty of hot water, and the heater was on,and was lovely and cosy. Beautiful view of the sea. The hosts have a friendly dog, which puts his head and paws on the fence to great you. There’s a washing machine and a foldaway airer and pegs and laundry basket which was very useful,as we did a load the day before we left. Loads of soft lovely towels. We found the matteress too soft for what we are used to. I mentioned to the host that I could have done with a foot stool, and she said she was going to get one. It’s lovely and private, and a lovely space outside with table and chairs, sun loungers and hottub. The host left us a disposable barbecue.. There’s a ironing board and iron, and a air dryer. We couldn’t have had a better cottage,or hosts.
