  • "A great location, only two minutes from the sea and very central, with a wonderful view down across the harbour."

The apartment is well-furnished and very comfortable (and warm, if you're crazy like us and come in February!) The free car parking space is also an enormous asset. The owner is very helpful and is on hand if needed - but we've been three or four times now and there have never been any problems.

  • "We were generally, very pleased with our stay at this accommodation."

There were however, one or two issues that concerned us. The carpets were dirty ( hairs), and the kitchen surfaces were greasy, on arrival. We tried to hover, but the device didn’t work efficiently. We felt the need to clean up the kitchen, before we could settle into our ‘stay’. The location of the accommodation was excellent. We did enjoy our stay. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments which have been passed onto the property owner who maintains the apartment. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "We stayed for a week in this charming property."

It is very comfortable and had everything you need. I particularly loved the sea view. The only thing I would suggest is that the access to the garden be tidied up. David the owner was very helpful and kind to us. I would definitely return

  • "It was a shock to see the derelict building to the left of the alley way entrance which also spoilt the view from the lounge."

The cleaning could be improved as there was thick dust on the bedroom blind and lampshades. The bedroom curtain is in tatters and needs replacing. As it is an en-suite a guest bed for an adult is not appropriate, ok if you have a young child. Kitchen had all you need, bed clean and comfy, lounge was pleasant. Garden needs attention as access quite mossy underfoot and could be a risk of slips and falls if damp. The apartment was a disappointment but this didn’t spoil our break.

  • "Pear tree apartment was warm and welcoming as was the owner."

It has a beautiful spacious lounge with lovely views over the sea. Ideally situated for us as we decided to leave the car at home. The bus stops for both directions are within easy walking distance.

  • "A beautiful ‘character’ historical apartment; tastefully furnished and decorated."

Lovely warm, cosy accommodation with stunning views over Lyme Bay. Centrally placed with immediate access to centre of Lyme Regis, and a few minutes walk from the beaches, Cobb and Harbour. Highly recommended! Thankyou for a lovely stay in such a spectacular location!

Close to everything, and a lovely view of the sea.

  • "Very pleasant, good-sized and well-equipped apartment in a lovely historic building right in the heart of Lyme Regis."

Great location - minutes from the beach and the main street is literally on your doorstep, yet the apartment is quiet as it is set back from the street. Fabulous view of the sea and over the Cobb from the dining table!! Whilst the property is ideal for a couple, it accommodated us as family of three well. The fold-out bed was surprisingly comfortable.

  • "We loved the property."

Excellent inside, excellent location, really clean. The only negative was the bed. The most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in. Sadly, we would not return unless we knew a new bed had been purchased.

  • "A lovely and spacious apartment in a great location with the bonus of a view over the sea and the coastline."

The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. We received a friendly and welcoming greeting from the owner. Lyme Regis is a pretty town with good access to coastal walks and we particularly enjoyed the fossil walk arranged through the Town Museum.

Sea Tree House

Sea Tree House is a Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse situated in the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis, Dorset with stunning sea views along the Jurassic Coast to Portland and overlooking the iconic Cobb. Providing traditional accommodation for couples and small families, the building itself has a very interesting history being as a gentleman's residence in the mid 1800s; previously, the property was a boarding house where Jane Austen is believed to have stayed in 1804 and views of the Cobb may have inspired her to write the book 'Persuasion'. Currently arranged as apartments, both Tulip Tree and Tamarind Tree retain a host of character features typical of its period including large bay windows (with lovely sea views to the Cobb), high ceilings, panelled doors, picture rails, deep skirting boards, sash windows, ornate cornices, fine main staircase and fireplaces. These one-bedroom apartments are centrally located close to the beaches, independent shops and restaurants. The area is a haven for walkers and the South West coast path provides visitors with many walking opportunities taking in pretty seaside towns and villages plus stunning scenic views of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. With private parking within a short walk from Sea Tree House, this is an idea base from which to enjoy all that this popular town has to offer.
