The property

Bridges Cottage is a lovely cottage situated in the picturesque village of St Marychurch in the heart of Torquay, Devon.

The stunning cottage lies close to the beautiful Babbacome Bay and some of Devon's best attractions are just a few minutes walk away.

Internally, the property has been renovated into to a modern holiday home, and furnished to the highest standard, with stunning slate flooring on the ground floor.

Offering an open-plan interior, with two sitting areas, one with a sofa bed that can accommodate any extra guests.

The main living area offers a large sofa and a wall-mounted TV, so you can relax after a long day and catch up on all your favourite shows.

A small kitchen area sits adjacent, boasting white fitted units and wooden worktops, with plenty of space to cook up a storm for your partner.

Gather around the cosy dining area with seating for two, where you can enjoy your romantic meal together.

Upstairs has one double bedroom, with ample storage space for your personal items and a separate contemporary bathroom with a lovely bath - the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing soak.

Off-road parking is available for one car.

There is a set of patio doors which lead out to a small and private courtyard area with furniture, where you can sit out and enjoy the sunrise.

Devon’s St Marychurch Torquay is choc-a-bloc full of excellent cafés, award winning tearooms and restaurants and let's not forget the traditional fishmongers shop in the precinct at St Marychurch, a proper greengrocer, bakery and butcher's shop in the same street - all part of the charm of this traditional part of Torquay!

Why not pop into the precinct or stroll along Babbacombe Downs where you will find the famous Victorian cliff railway.

The nearby town of Brixham has a delicious selection of the freshest fish and seafood which arrives daily at the thriving Fish Market.

Also you will find Babbacombe Model Village, which spans across four acres of award-winning gardens and showcases a miniature model villages, including houses, people, vehicles, a castle and a dragon.

It was opened in 1963 by Tom Dobbins and is a magnificent sight to behold.

St Marychurch is a charming suburb close to the delights of Babbacombe Bay and Torquay.

It’s a lovely place to stay with its delightful pedestrianised precinct and everywhere within easy walking distance.

You’ll find lots of independently owned boutiques and family-run businesses here and St Marychurch’s unique personality is why so many people fall in love with the place and come back year after year.

One of the very oldest settlements in South Devon, St Marychurch’s two historic church towers dominate the Torquay skyline.

Venture towards Torquay Golf Club, which is open to visitors of all types, whether an amateur or a seasoned professional, you will be welcomed.

It was founded in 1909 and has three-lined fairways with magnificent views across Lyme Bay and Portland Bill.

If you’re looking for a fun filled day out, why not visit Kents Cavern, it is one of the most important Stone Age sites in Europe, one of Britain's best show caves and one of Devon’s most popular attractions.

Their daily tours take you back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping tools and hunting Ice Age animals.

The extensive labyrinth of caverns, 400 million year old rocks and spectacular stalagmites and stalactites are quite awe-inspiring.

There’s also a gift shop and café.
