  • "Keith was friendly and helpful, providing lots of valuable information about the area, both on the phone in advance and in person when he welcomed us to the cottage."

Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The cottage was spotless and lovely, with everything on our doorstep plus a fantastic bus service to lots of places of interest. The cream tea that was waiting for us on arrival was very welcome after a long journey, a nice little touch that was much appreciated. Lots of helpful and informative brochures were also left out for us. I would highly recommend the cottage and the location in general.

  • "The property is clean and comfortable with some nice touches."

There is everything you would need for a self catering break. I had read the reports of the property being hard to find but had no such issues. We followed the instructions from Keith which took us straight to the property. Car parking, we parked where recommended, which is a very short walk to the property. We were only there for the weekend, so didn't get the virtual car pass. We did down load the RingGo app, which was a great way to pay for parking without having to carry lots of change. As with some other reviews, getting in and out of the bed is, shall we say, interesting.

  • "The stay was near perfect."

Apart from a few things. The home was beautiful, comfy and warm. Shower was amazing and bed was comfy. A few things to help improve the property though, 1) parking. It was car park parking which cost £8.70 per day, the instructions left on how to get a 4 day parking didn't work and the instructions on where to find the free parking was poor. 2) check in/finding the place- again the communication around this was bad. I spoke to the owner who tried to explain it, but Becusee of the location it was so hard to find. However if you simply put "through the black gate, located on the High Street next to les joint" that will make it much easier. 3) there wasn't a utensil without a hole in. Last suggestion 4) move the TV from downstairs kitchen area to the bedroom. The stay was so lovely. I would recommend to anyone and the suggestions above are there to enhance the experience and not bash its integrity in the slightest

Superb bus services within a 5 minute walk. You may wish to take a teapot or coffee maker if that is your thing; also a hairdryer, but faultless overall.

Top grades throughout our stay Keith could not be more helpful. Actually Keith doing the simple things started off as a great holiday. Warm cottage on arrival, milk in the fridge, scones cottage cream and Jam. Brought a smile to our faces and placed the positive energy in our start. The cottage was actually described and we loved staying there. I would recommend any one to stay at the cottage. Thank you Keith for a totally professional service. 10 out of 10 you get my highest recommendation thank you

  • "Cottage is in a very nice area short walk from Babbacombe Downs on is a friendly local Street."

Butchers, bakers and fish mongers stock lovely local produce. We used the bus whilst there. The no 22 is a 5 minute walk from the cottage and that will take you from Paignton to Dawlish Warren. Good links to Brixham too. All for £5 a day (or free if you've a senior bus pass.) Plenty to do in the area regardless of the weather. We had a lovely week in the cottage. Keith was very helpful in recommending places and information on the car parking. There were a couple of things I would change but that is totally my own preferences and does not detract from the standard of the accommodation.

  • "The cottage was superb and wanted for nothing."

I would definitely recommend it. Keith the owner was wonderful very nice gesture with the jam, cream, scones and milk after a fairly long drive. The area is fabulous so much to do and see. The places Keith suggested to visit were spot on.We hope to return next year and do it all again.

  • "When we booked, the holiday description said 'Off Road Parking is available for one car'."

Two days before we left we had a telephone call from the owner saying that we had to pay £42 for a parking permit for 8 days in a nearby car park which was a 4 minute walk from the cottage which took several journeys to load and unload luggage. The owner was helpful in setting up the parking permit and helping us unload. However we chose the cottage expecting free parking. The cottage was difficult to find as it was down an alley and the keys were not visible from the front door. We agreed with the comments of the previous occupant about the parking. The bed was surrounded by 3 walls and difficult to access especially for older people. This was disguised by the photo in the description. We enjoyed our holiday particularly the location near essential amenities.

  • "Wonderful place to stay and Keith the owner had a really good touch by personally welcoming us and leaving goodies there."

Only observation is parking as advert sounds like there's parking at cottage there isn't! Choice is expensive nearby car park or on road parking 6 minutes walk away thats free. We were told there was always lots of space in free road, not true struggled to get parked couple of times! We wouldn't have booked had we realised couldn't have car on site, this wasn't told to us until a week before stay..so that disappointed us. Parking was kept mysterious just told the owner would contact us re parking, which he did, but too late then we'd paid. Just feel should be made clear on booking information for future customers.

The cottage is modern , clean , comfortable and has everything you need for a week or two away. Ideal for a couple. A car is a must if you want to explore this part of Devon , although there is plenty to see close by. There is no allocated parking so I'd recommend buying weekly permit which covers the local public car park and about 30 others in the Torbay area. Keith , the owner is very helpful and the scones , jam and cream were a welcome treat after our journey. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
