  • "Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location."

Lovely welcome from the owners and so many welcome home made food gifts too for us which were very tasty indeed. Masses of walks from the door with beautiful views, and easy walks to 3 great pubs. We shall definitely be back.

Nothing appears to be too much trouble to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of people staying here. You can be confident that the cottage delivers fully the advertised features and more.

  • "It was perfect in every way."

A beautifully presented attractive cottage. Spacious with 2 lovely double bedrooms en suite. Large secure garden for our puppy to enjoy. So many amazing personal touches on arrival - flowers in the rooms, homemade bread, jam, cake etc. I would totally recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful rural retreat, but it is so close to wonderful Dartmouth, Kingswear and many places of interest, eg Agatha Christie’s holiday home! A big thank you to the kind welcoming owners for our superb week in Cornworthy.

  • "The whole holiday was fabulous."

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting in a lovely area. The owners, next door, were an aboslute delight and we really appreciated the welcome gifts - particularly the lemon drizzle cake - what a treat! Angus, our dog, enjoyed the extremely effective and efficient under floor heating, as did we. A week was just not long enough!

A real home from home. The owners, Penny and Kit were very helpful, they provided a lovely meal on our first night and put up and decorated a Christmas tree for us which was beautiful and really helped make our stay special. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

It was spotlessly clean and an abundance of delightful goodies were waiting for us on our arrival. The owner was really helpful but not intrusive. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. We had a lovely stay and I would defenitelly recommend.

  • "The cottage was beautifully presented and immaculate."

The owners were very welcoming and provided freshly baked bread, a lemon drizzle cake and basics like butter and milk on our arrival. The only downside was driving the very narrow lanes to get to the cottage - fairly typical though of rural Devon!

  • "Cornworthy is a wonderful place to visit - if you enjoy peace, unpolluted night skies, natural beauty, walks along the river and loads of great pubs and restaurants just a short drive away."

Court Prior Cottage is just perfect and I'm delighted to have found it and booked it (we had originally booked for December 2020, but Covid rules forced us to postpone until June, and it worked out just fine). The cottage has been beautifully and stylishly renovated, with interesting paintings and pictures, very comfortable sofas and beds, loads of books, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and a pretty, enclosed garden. Our welcome pack included cake, eggs, milk, and a bottle of wine; which was a real treat. We book a lot of UK cottages and in many, we are lucky if we are given a J-cloth and some washing up liquid! With such fabulous walks from the door, we didn't want to leave and hope very much to return.

We also enjoyed some excellent meals cooked by the host.
